Simple. John 5:19. Someone who doesn’t act like Jesus and the apostles isn’t a follower of Jesus.

They defended their faith -> without using the weapons of the world. The faith was preserved. Something which you think isn’t possible. Their way - my way - isn’t your way.

Ask @Wrangler. Your source is trinitarian. He’s unitarian. How astute are you? A unitarian can believe in God the Son - Wrangler is not that kind of unitarian.
