The tribulation principle as in John 16.33 is always with us, and with the church. The great tribulation of Matthew 24 is, however, a unique, future event, the context of which clearly is not the church but a future remnant of Israel.

If one bears in mind the difference between Jews, Gentiles and the church of God, then the truth of what the Lord's coming means is indeed relevant in particular ways, to those passages.

@OzSpen My guess is that the pain and expense of having it done is in a sense repaid and made worthwhile over and over again in the minds of the persons receiving it, when they are seen as a testimony. One can understand the very strong motives that may lie behind it. Seems like parlor services...

Christians locally used to go there to sing hymns, by arrangement; then visits had to stop, naturally, once the epidemic started. Providential that they were able to go there and sing hymns, before the epidemic started.

Well, close to the main line, in a care facility. Locally a care facility has just lost 38 residents to the virus.

Oh I have long been suspicious of the way huge corporations operate and of how some pharmacuticals charge for their profits. The way the virus attacks the lungs is not a hoax. however.

Some of us have suffered repeated pneumonia, and I remember the SARS, which was very similar to C19. No conspiracy or scam there. Ten years ago I had to attend a work function after SARS from an expert who said that another epidemic is on its way and we have to be ready with preventive measures...
