The Author! Lord Byron, romantic poet of the early 1800’s, walked into a pub and sat down at a table by the fire. Sitting at the table next to him he overheard the heated conversation of two gentlemen discussing the meaning of a poem – one written by the poet himself. He listened with amusement...

    "Husband of one wife"

Did Abraham commit adultery with Hagar?

    Interpretation Methods

Yes, the wrong definition of "impute" takes an erroneous preconceived idea, such as Jesus covers our sins with His righteousness as we keep committing them, and all God sees is Christ's righteousness; whereas Jesus doesn't just "cover" our sins like with an "invisibility cloak" from Harry...

    "Husband of one wife"

Oh, "putting away." I don't see any difference between putting away and divorce in the Law. Can you show me in the old testament? Thus says the Lord: “Where is the certificate of your mother’s divorce, Whom I have put away?

    What is a partial divorce?

Should we pray the imprecatory psalms?

What exactly "fades"? A "high" or "faith." Much of walking in the Spirit is not a feeling, but a resolve.

Should we pray the imprecatory psalms?

Why does it fade? Do you start doubting the verse was a message to you? Well, now you don't have to. Now, you know it WAS from God to YOU.

    ~God of the darkness~

Wow, that's awful. I know we all will be keeping you in prayer.

Should we pray the imprecatory psalms?

Have you ever been reading the Word and all of a sudden a verse comes alive, as if God is speaking straight to you, and you are filled with faith? Like it is a message for you? Anyway, that is when the Logos you are reading becomes a specific message to you from God, a Rhema. Here are a few...

I miss my old pastors ministry

I didn't know that history. I was Foursquare at Church on the Way (Dr. Jack Hayford) in the 70's and 80's, then Vineyard (Bill Dwyer) in the 90's. Pastor Jack would get up early every morning and pray in tongues for 45 min to an hour.

    ~God of the darkness~

That was profound! Really good to remember. So I wasn't aware, or missed your post on what's going on. Can you share the link?

Should we pray the imprecatory psalms?

We cannot use the Logos willy-nilly; it must first become a Rhema.

    Should women teach the bible?

Don't put "free of Christ" in a response to me, as I'm anything but! I am totally devoted to Him and keeping his commandments. My husband who left me for the wife of his best friend and married her, is still the last man I kissed before the divorce. Why? Because he is still alive. He can sin all...

    Should women teach the bible?

Out of context a little bit? Salvation, not keeping the poor without dignity. Is it better to give out handouts, or jobs. Which is love? Which provides dignity.

    Good night all. :)

    Should women teach the bible?

"All scripture" is the key, not personal letters and opinions. Look at when he bragged about calling out Peter in his epistle to the Galatians. And yet Paul does the same thing he accused Peter of. Peter was between a rock and a hard place trying to please both Gentiles and new convert Jews who...

    Should women teach the bible?

Elsewhere he writes there is neither Jew nor Greek, bond or free, MALE OR FEMALE, but all one in Christ. But in a letter to Timothy seems to revert back to his Pharisitical roots. Now I find I have to rightly divide everything he writes to see if it is inspired or contradictory to whats...

    Should women teach the bible?

You don't know? And you're calling me ignorant, and that I don't know what I'm talking about? That's what I forgave you for, now drop it, but first, repent.
