@A_Man Now if the mere fact of a tattoo is a decisive no-no as regards a potential Christian spouse, one would sometimes be rather limited. A lot of Christians, instead of fighting the medium, have instead chosen to embrace it and maybe use it in what they might see as God-glorifying designs...

I don't believe in the supposed Rousseau-led idea of the 'noble savage', supposedly pristine in his clear, pagan conscience...

I do see that in Acts 2.41, people were baptised because they were already Christians, having gladly received the Gospel; they did not become baptised in order supposedly to be able to believe the Gospel.

A lot of Christians seem to ignore this Romans 14 passage about Christian liberty...

@JPPT1974 Doing it to Christians does indeed provide an effective tool in witness, if it's in a clear, faith based design. Like I said in the previous post, My wife and and I talked to a young lady with the whole of John 3.16 tattooed on her wrist area; it was her favorite Bible verse and mine...

It's interesting also that the law was changed (Hebrews 7.12) and what we now have is better than the law (Hebrews 7.19); so the whole matter of sabbath-keeping no longer applies as under the law.

Sometimes it's hard to keep up with the whole flow of the thread...

Means that we should act as before the Lord; a matter of conscience rather than to be menpleasers (Galatians 1.10).

@Sabertooth Yes, it's hard to make sweeping generalizations about someone's spiritual state because of a haircut. The same comment would apply to their tattoo(s) also...
