Wrong we are saved by grace period why don’t you do everyone here a favor and stop excusing your sin your as much as saying your sin is ok, but these other people who sin are doomed.

  4. Eternally Grateful

Not by works - but by faith

You just made my point, thank you not everyone who claims to be believers are believers, and yes, many of these professed believers spit on the cross. Whether you think so or not is not the issue

Not by works - but by faith

If you think you are justified by walking, Your basically spitting on the cross of Christ, Because he could have stayed in heaven, and we could have saved ourselves Grace is not a pass on obedience, do not put words in my mouth, Grace is based on the fact, we are UNABLE to be obedient enough to...

Not by works - but by faith

That’s saying we are saved by our works of righteousness this just is not found in scripture James is refuting licentiousness. A belief only apart from repentance and true faith gospel.

Not by works - but by faith

Amen James did not contradict Paul (romans 4 eph 1 and 2)
  13. Eternally Grateful

Not by works - but by faith

Yet this does not say we are saved by faith plus works it just states a fact. If one CLAIMS to have faith yet does not even have 1 work. Can that type of DEAD faith save him? Well of course not. Mere belief in Christ with no faith never saved anyone. Even demons believe. What good is it...

Not by works - but by faith

Phariseeism is a belief that we are saved by our works. By How good or morally upright we are. Or by religious traditional works. It is alive and well today. Not saying you are teaching or promoting it, Was just saying what you said described that thinking.
  16. Eternally Grateful

Not by works - but by faith

I am confused This is a thread on salvation. (Justification) Why are we discussing sanctification?
  17. Eternally Grateful

Not by works - but by faith

Your trying to read into my words things I am not trying to express. The law says we owe God perfection. We do. Because that is what God requires. We cant give him what we owe him, thats why we use RELY on Grace. Ie, he does not expect it. Because he knows we can;t achieve it, thats why h came...
  18. Eternally Grateful

Not by works - but by faith

When I see the cross. I see the love of God which surpasses all understand. I still ow God perfection. I have yet to meet that requirement. Maybe you have? When I see the cross. I se how much he LOVED ME, so I focus on taking that love and LOVING OTHERS.
  19. Eternally Grateful

Not by works - but by faith

It is obvious you do not understand what I am saying, please go back reread and try again. Because what I am saying does not resemble anything you are saying here
  20. Eternally Grateful

Not by works - but by faith

This is false This is phariseeism. It says your works can be enough to cause God to forgive your sins. Like th pharisee. This thinking does not remember the basic aspect of the law. Only blood can cause redemption.
