I was quoting Romans 14 as a general principle. I had already acknowledged that we need to 'prove all things'. (A lot of Fundamentalists seem to ignore Romans 14 altogether.)

We do need to "prove all things'. There is also Christian liberty, Romans 14.

I guess that some Christians do find that faith based tattoo designs - Bible ref.s or texts; Christian fish sign <>< on a wrist, etc. - do actually work effectively as conversation-starters in witness.

@Pearl PS: You mentioned your grandson on the other thread; these days it's quite widespread for young men as well as young women to use pierced earrings; and earrings are often given as family gifts to boys as well as girls, where worn; at least, among my relatives it's not only the women...
