    ROMANS 4:6 IMPUTED RIGHTEOUSNESS

The truth of imputed righteousness runs very strongly through Epistles such as Romans and Galatians.

Should Christians not participate in Halloween?

I do take your point about smoking! :) I think if you do watch the video talk by the lady in post #64, above, some of your fears may be allayed, as regards the inks now widely used. These days a lot of Christian women seem to approach getting their huge range of faith based tattoo designs with...

What Mormons Believe--according to a Former BYU Professor

There are quite a few videos from Lynn Wilder on Youtube.

    And The Peace Of God

Great verses :) ; Isaiah 32.17 is another: "And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever."

Should Christians not participate in Halloween?

PS: I guess the short response from her would likely be, Thank-you, but I wasn't looking for sympathy. :)

What Mormons Believe--according to a Former BYU Professor

It was Chillingworth, centuries back, who said: "The Bible, and the Bible alone, is the religion of Protestants".

What Mormons Believe--according to a Former BYU Professor

Seems like a useful quote, from the source, as it were...

Comment by 'farouk' in media 'Trumpeter'

PS: You can tell that the armor outfit is really for show only, because a female warrior would not have all that long hair loose, but tucked into the helmet; and, although the armor covers the torso, the thighs are not protected; indeed, all part of the show of the outfit, really.

More Christian tattoo artists a positive development?

@Sabertooth Yes, a lot of parlors offer piercing services as well. One option would be for someone with artistic skill in tattooing to train also for APP piercing certification and do both piercing and take some tattoo commissions, whether 50/50 or as a sideline. Often the heavy demand for...

@Nondenom40 (Re. highlighted section: ) Well, exactly. My sentiments entirely.

    And The Peace Of God

"The peace of God...the God of peace...", indeed. :)

    Everlasting burnings

A wonderful consideration and comfort. Although the context in Zechariah is Israel in a future day, yet it can be applied to the church and various passages in John's Gospel, the Epistle to the Hebrews, etc., can be used in conjunction.

What Mormons Believe--according to a Former BYU Professor

Oh indeed; particular when they impinge directly onto the Person and work of Christ, in the doctrinal scheme of things. I guess my point was that the hermeneutics / interpretation methods used by cults is far more broadly applied, so often, sadly.

Should Christians not participate in Halloween?

I take your point to some extent as regards tattoo inks years ago; although actually the content of tattoo ink has changed enormously in recent years, and it can now be a much safer experience; I saw this expert video, FYI: Re. the main subject of the thread, my wife really likes pumpkin...

What Mormons Believe--according to a Former BYU Professor

You know the little rhyme? "Wonderful things in the Bible I see, 'specially what's put there by you and by me..." I think that the practice of reading people's choice ideas into the Scriptures is far from limited to cults...

More Christian tattoo artists a positive development?

@shnarkle It used to be a man thing but now it's also become such a womanly thing to do and so many Christian women have it done and age is no barrier. allnurses dot com Although it used to be such a man thing - and still is - it's also especially identified with demographics of women such as...

Should Christians not participate in Halloween?
