I remember reading that the 19th century preacher C H Spurgeon said that the lack - at that time - of suitable employment for women was a great social evil. (Included in the whole area of suitable employment would be training for it and education.)

Back a bit you said: Since so many Christians are pretty comfortable being tattooed now, maybe it's a pity that more Christians don't consider training as tattoo artists. (What do you think?) (Maybe the subject for an eventual separate thread and poll.)

I do think a sense of vocation Godward is really a precious stimulus. Though evidently tiring you do seem in that sense blessed.

PS: I think with the rise of women's education in the late 19th / early 20th century it's moral strength that has been enhanced, and not just a male-centred machismo strength. If that makes sense.

Oh I wasn't presuming anything; I'm just speaking in general terms; I know I could organize myself better; hard though to read when sitting for hours in traffic. Yes, I'm sure your work is unacceptably stressful; a pity they raised the retirement age over there, right? (What do the politicians...

I don't know what's worse; excessive physical tiredness or stress. ("Jesus, being wearing with the journey, sat thus on the well...")

Some ppl of course find the time during the day or a night shift to smoke outside, when stressed (which I don't recommend) but it shows that even 5 minutes during the day can be used to read some Scripture verses, together with a private prayer.

I think part of the secret of finding good local church fellowship is for the individual prayerfully to follow Proverbs 3.5-6, in your post header. (Great verses there!)

Hi again; I hope you can modify your work schedule to something less stressful. Do you find that your prayer/Bible reading time can be crowded out when you're stressed in that way?

@Naomi25 PS: I think maybe a thread specifically about the merits (or, hypothetically, otherwise) of Christians training and working as tattoo artists, would likely be really worthwhile. (Do you think so, too?)
