Poll and thread: Is smoking always a sin?

Even the preacher Spurgeon smoked - and how he was used so much in the work of the Lord! So don't beat yourself up, friend.

Poll and thread: Is smoking always a sin?

Although spouses smoke as individuals, spousal smoking can be a collective, household situation, ranging from husbands and wives who can smoke together if they wish, to coordinating attempts to quit. I guess you guys will long ago have found your own level, together, as far as smoking is concerned.

    John 3:16

What a wondrous verse, John 3.16! the Gospel in a nutshell, so to speak.

Poll and thread: Is smoking always a sin?

@VictoryinJesus Back a while, you said: If I were you, I would not beat yourself up. If it bothers certain ppl, you might find ways of not doing it in front of them. But beating yourself up doesn't achieve anything; since you've done it for so long, your system probably thinks it needs some...

Poll and thread: Is smoking always a sin?

Well it's possible to be a smoker, and stay away from certain people when it's done (children, and others, etc.). While a mother or father's own children may know that the parent in question is a smoker, it doesn't have to be 'in their faces', so to speak. You wife probably just feels she...

    Tongues and Related Issues

I think we need to be satisfied with revelation in the Bible; the sign gifts date from a time when the canon of Scripture was not yet complete.

Does Mrs. Waiting on Him smoke as well? (Often quitting is easier if one's spouse has already quit, etc.)

    The Hebrew New Testament . . .

The grammar in Hebrew is kind of absent and complex at the same time: words floating around, hints and subtleties there if you think so, not there if you don't, ....etc.

Poll: Best age for first tattoo?

Ink is a bit like customs 40 years ago, such as double piercing ears; when women (teen girls and their moms) did it, at first it was maybe just a bit edgy as a style, but now it's so mainstream that it's done by all ages, from those of a radical/secular outlook, to Godly great-grandmothers. Now...

    The Hebrew New Testament . . .

I never studied Hebrews; though over 35 years ago I tried to learn the Hebrew letters.

Poll: Best age for first tattoo?

Anyway, it's just worthwhile to realize that the era when the ladies didn't use to get tattooed is definitely over. (Just wise to remember especially when so many Christian women receive faith based designs now.)
