Good verse; but do you think tattoos are always bad? some are bad indeed; maybe others are more neutral, and others - faith based ones - can be really useful in witness. So I guess it depends, right?

Thanks for your thoughtful post. I do think that future events seen in the Old Testament are about Israel and the nations, rather than about the church. But I would certainly agree with some of what you say.

It's not obligatory, but because of the occasions when so many women will feel having them in is appropriate, ear piercing is 'almost' necessary.

Some of the more conservative Presbyterian churches would have been about reverent worship and Scripture exposition. I'm not Presbyterian, though.

Not that I "approve" of it, but it's interesting historically that preachers such as C H Spurgeon smoked; in the days before effective medication for gout - from which he suffered - it is supposed to have given him some relief.

The finished work of Christ is in the Scriptures, as is the perfect mediatorial work of Christ.

This is what I understand speaking in tongues in Acts to mean: speaking other languages, as signs, while the Scriptures were not yet complete.
