Is belief in the Trinity necessary for salvation?

We do need to be careful not to reject clear revelation. This is a good, cautious and reverential spirit to follow. "..if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins." (John 8.24)

    Modestly

I strongly think basic modesty is important and Scriptural. However, if it's lipstick you somehow have a problem with, we need just to remember that over 100 years ago it was associated with woman suffrage, and the activities of Elizabeth Arden, for example. "In 1912, Arden alongside 15,000...

Is belief in the Trinity necessary for salvation?

Father, Son and Holy Spirit are deeply present in the New Testament, especially in John's Gospel, John's First Epistle, Romans 8, etc.

    KJV versus Modern Translations

The fact that in the New Testament the Lord Jesus is recorded as having quoted from the Septuagint is part of the equation.

    Interesting history

I think I read that Eastbourne pier had a fire, too, in recent years. The old wooden structures are quite prone to being flammable. A bit like a lot of buildings on the Prairies; it's not unusual to hear of fires; and in fact in some places on the Prairies if a house is left derelict (often the...

    Covering

Sometimes theologians speak of theophanies, that is, manifestations of the Second Person of the Trinity before the Incarnation.

Poll: Best age for first tattoo?

@Pearl Thanks for the 'like'; my guess is that there is probably quite a concentration of parlors in Blackpool also.

Yes, well they are famous, aren't they?

    Interesting history

I guess if alcohol licensing regulations in Blackpool were more strict, it would alter the character of the place considerably...

    safe from the storm

It's years since I saw it in Manchester; I seem to recall a park next to the UMIST building.

Poll: Best age for first tattoo?

Yes, well, I guess it's understandable: for many people an extra tattoo can be like a permanent postcard: a memento of a particular trip. Because as I recall it takes so relatively little time to go by train from London to Brighton, the tattoo establishment area would in all probability now...

    safe from the storm

If you have not been to Bletchley Park, you would find it fascinating; I do suspect that you would already know more about it than I do, though.

    Interesting history

You are right; they are somewhat different in some ways. Seems like Southport near Blackpool would also fulfill for its area some of what Brighton also is, with its sought after residential areas.

    safe from the storm

I went to Bletchley Park and did a tour of the site where the cryptographers worked; fascinating. There is also the Turing memorial at Manchester University.

    Interesting history

Well, Victoria and Henry VIII were major figures as monarchs. So was George IV, but his fame for arty pursuits and for his extra-curricular activities became so well known that historically they seemed to eclipse his period as monarch.

Poll: Best age for first tattoo?

On the other thread we have been discussing Brighton, which is very much a centre for the tattoo industry in southern England. Visitors to the area over there who have tattoo art interests would find it a place to include on their itinerary. Over the course of time, comparable businesses seem...
