Christians and Jews are both anti Acts 2:38.

Per Acts 2:38, remission of sins is obtained when a person is baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. Not a second before this can remission be obtained.

Christians and Jews are both anti Acts 2:38.

No, it is the name that is spoken(Jesus) while baptism is taking place that is important(to remit one's sins). The water is only symbolic of our faith, but the name spoken, remits.

What are some of your weaknesses?

We cannot move on until we are baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of our sins as commanded by Peter in Acts 2:38, agreed?

What are some of your weaknesses?

Most don’t get baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins. They seem to of found a shortcut, bypassing the remission of sins.

What are some of your weaknesses?

Howbout this. I will read beyond Acts 2:38 if you obey it;)

Christians and Jews are both anti Acts 2:38.

God is human? Jesus taught that? Did Jesus describe God as human in John 4:24?

What are some of your weaknesses?

My weakness is my insistence in obeying Acts 2:38. I want everyone to be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins and join the 3000 at Pentecost so bad it becomes an obsession. Pray for me, maybe give me a subscription of AWAKE magazine to put me to sleep.

Christians and Jews are both anti Acts 2:38.

So, baptism in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins is a carnal work, disqualifying one from salvation(remission of sins)? What is the alternative to Acts 2:38? Is repentance also a carnal work? Should Peter have told them not to repent or be baptized but only promise them the...

Christians and Jews are both anti Acts 2:38.

Is obeying Acts 2:38 a work of the flesh or Grace?

Christians and Jews are both anti Acts 2:38.

4 Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace. We have the ability to fall from Grace.

Christians and Jews are both anti Acts 2:38.

The Law applies to sin. Sin is defined by the law. Sinners sin, therefore all sinners are to be judged by the law. Only saints are free from the Law if they walk in the Spirit.... 9 What then? are we better than they? No, in no wise: for we have before proved both Jews and Gentiles, that...

Christians and Jews are both anti Acts 2:38.

They can if they sin by trying to keep the Law which is still in effect for sinners ....Gal 5:4. This makes them sinners by default.

Christians and Jews are both anti Acts 2:38.

Would you like to see the verses in the NT that tell us that Law is still in effect today(for sinners)?
  14. Truther

Christians and Jews are both anti Acts 2:38.

Only those that obey Acts 2:38 are under Grace....the rest are under the Law.

Christian sinners are only Christian in name only.(CINO)
  16. Truther

Christians and Jews are both anti Acts 2:38.

Nor do most modern Christians. There is no difference between Jewish sinners and Christian sinners.
  17. Truther

Christians and Jews are both anti Acts 2:38.

You just said Peter(man) made Acts 2:38 up. You just said baptism in the name of Jesus Christ is not for the remission of sins as Peter commanded per Acts 2:38. This means you would have said something completely different than what Peter said to the 3000 at Pentecost. This means you are not...

Christians and Jews are both anti Acts 2:38.

I know that you believe Acts 2:38 exists in the Bible, but you want to talk around it. So, simply, would you have quoted the same identical words as Peter did to the 3000 or would you have said anything different if you were asked, "what shall we do"? This is your statement of faith. I would...

Christians and Jews are both anti Acts 2:38.

Before you leave, would you have told the 3000 at Pentecost to be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of their sins? Just Gotta know. Thank you.

Christians and Jews are both anti Acts 2:38.

They are not one, as, the same person. They are one, as in, unified. Read John 17.
