What's the weather like where you are?

On the Prairies, towards the Rockies, it's drier than England. (If you can stand the altitude and thinner air...)

    On being a Saint

I take your general point about worry; and of course activities in Acts 2.42 should be pursued with joy. As regards the law system with its sabbath (before the Resurrection, the fulfillment of the feast of firstfruits (1 Corinthians 15.20), the law was changed (Hebrews 7.12) and what we now...

New blood covenant and new covenant to Israel and Judah

Wonderful verses; and I do believe that in the wisdom of God so much profitable and encouraging doctrine and truth can be explored and be made the subject of exhortation, with regard to the Lord's Supper. (Also: Matthew 26; Luke 22; Mark 14; Acts 2.42).

    Dispensationalism

I can see this general principle, yes, from 2 Timothy 2.15.

    Why are you here?

Jeremiah 20.9: '...His word was in mine heart as a burning fire shut up in my bones, and I was weary with forbearing, and I could not stay.'

What is God doing in your life right now?

This is why I quoted 1 Samuel 7.12:'Hitherto hath the LORD helped us'. This has indeed become my experience, as since the Lord intervened in grace in my life, He has gone before, opening and shutting doors (Revelation 3.7); I have thought a lot about Paul's experience, also 'Having therefore...

Amos 3.3, a thoughtful verse: "Can two walk together, except they be agreed?"

The walk first and foremost is Godward. Acts 2.42 can be practised among small groups or large, but the goal of an earthly organized religious conglomerate is illusory and unScriptural; true unity is spiritual.

Amos 3.3, a thoughtful verse: "Can two walk together, except they be agreed?"

He is indeed; but there are many who call themselves Christians whose actual beliefs about the blessed Person and Work of the Lord Jesus are not even Biblical; this is why spiritual unity in Him is in truth, according to the Scriptures.

What is God doing in your life right now?

One each side, I guess, right. (Some think 2 each side is nice.) Better done at 40 than never, I reckon!

Poll: Best age for first tattoo?

It would be a really good career, in some ways, really, wouldn't it? (Like, a privilege to have so many people allowing the professional artist to do their ink, right?)

Amos 3.3, a thoughtful verse: "Can two walk together, except they be agreed?"

...but unity without truth is a conspiracy, as someone has said.

@Naomi25 FYI... Do you have any smoking cessation thoughts/ comments?

What is God doing in your life right now?

Probably worthwhile going for the holes being put in (whether or not rings will always be worn or not).

Poll: Best age for first tattoo?

I guess my thought was, Since it's widely regarded as benign and is widespread among young Christian men and women, then for the many who get faith / witness design inkings, why not have Christians do tattooing professionally also? (might also help the atmosphere in some parlors also...)

Poll: Best age for first tattoo?

I wasn't particularly thinking of 'advertising'; more the subjective thought process of Christian young men and women who might wish that more Christians became talented as tattoo artists - seeing as so many Christians anyway (as per the OP quote) get inked nowadays. (If this makes sense?) (I...

    amillennialism

The question is, also, What is the church? is it really an earthly institution destined to wield the temporal sword in some supposed outworking of passages in the Old Testament relating to Israel? or is the church a heavenly people looking for the return of their Lord and not bound up with...

The Flawed Reasoning Of Total Depravity

Poll: Best age for first tattoo?

Anyway, when you said you empathized with the really good talent in Christian tattoo art that you saw, I wondered if someone such as your daughter also who once aspired to contributing to such talent might also at least empathize with you over it, even if she's not now going to contribute to it...

Poll: Best age for first tattoo?

As per the OP quote, I guess it's thus compelling also to see how the many young Christian men and women who become inked in pursuit of witness-friendly faith based designs would wish that more Christians trained and participated in quality tattoo artist professional work (if this also makes sense?)
