    amillennialism

Try some of the Medieval Lollard Christians, who observed the Lord's Supper in simplicity, and for whom the political constructions of the Reformation did not match their simply looking to the Lord's coming in faith. Hundreds of years before Darby.

Poll: Best age for first tattoo?

So did you show the Christian tattoo art talent to your daughter who wanted to be a tattoo artist?

The Flawed Reasoning Of Total Depravity

Good insight; we really do depend on the wondrous grace of God.

Amos 3.3, a thoughtful verse: "Can two walk together, except they be agreed?"

Great text, and relevant to the discussion! :)

Amos 3.3, a thoughtful verse: "Can two walk together, except they be agreed?"

I guess the point is that the aim of one big organizational church conglomerate is illusory and unScriptural anyway. Best for each local congregation to look to the Lord directly.

What is God doing in your life right now?

Great thoughts there. "Casting all your care upon Him; for He careth for you" (1 Peter 5.7) (The older lady you mention wasn't one of the ones who gave you as a young Christian a hard time about ear piercings, then? :) )

    Dispensationalism

Matthew 24 does not seem to be speaking of the church. The Great Tribulation mentioned seems to be a unique, future event.

    Dispensationalism

Is there really a verse for this?

Good to see our friend back.

    Open your eyes

Love in John's First Epistle is a very powerful study.

    Dispensationalism

Romans 11 says that 'all Israel shall be saved' and speaks of 'the fulness of the Gentiles'. It refers to the backgrounds of those who stand by faith, but these distinctions have not disappeared in historical and prophetic terms.

    Dispensationalism

Yes, I would generally agree with this, I think.

Poll: Best age for first tattoo?

I think it's probably sensible these days for Christians with tattoos of nudes, acquired at some stage of their past, to have an artist tattoo a bikini or top or skirt onto the figure of the nude.

New blood covenant and new covenant to Israel and Judah

I think many professing evangelicals will have some basic notions of dispensational distinctives, but they seem to co-exist with other political and philosophical assumptions which are not necessarily in keeping with them. So it's really a matter of being challenged from Scripture about what it...

God's Anointed Bible Prophecy Teachers All say the Rapture is very Near!!

Interesting perspective. Paul uses the phrase 'spirit, soul and body' in 1 Thess. 5.23.

    Stumbling block before the blind?

    Searching verses there.

New blood covenant and new covenant to Israel and Judah

I think there can be levels of dispensational thinking and understanding. Another way of looking at it is the question of context in Scripture: to whom is the Lord speaking, to which group of people and when?

Amos 3.3, a thoughtful verse: "Can two walk together, except they be agreed?"

Individuals and companies practising Acts 2.42 can expect to continue in this way until the Lord comes. The link is always first and foremost Godward and as we keep 'looking unto Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our faith' we can be by God's grace a functioning microcosm of Acts 2.42, and don;t...
