    The Carnal Christian

Well, I'm in North America, with so many churches, but it applies elsewhere indeed.

    The Carnal Christian

To paraphrase Tina Turner, people do just what they want to do, and "What's the Bible got to do with it, got to do with it?"

    The Carnal Christian

I wonder how seriously North American Christians take the strictures against divorce and remarriage of various New Testament passages... (Luke 16.18; Romans 7.2-3; 1 Corinthians 7.10-11)

Poll: Best age for first tattoo?

@stunnedbygrace FYI...new poll, focusing particularly on the age of the recipient...(I was informed an older one had expired).

    Ageing

Sounds good (I wish I had more energy, though...)

Limited atonement means salvation by grace. Universal atonement means salvation by works.

"God be merciful to me a sinner" is a healthy spirit, right?

The Gifts of the Holy Spirit

Didn't TBN's boss run for President shortly after?

Poll: Best age for first tattoo?

Indeed; so far, 3 ppl have voted for "Between 26 and 40" and one has voted for "Wait until over 40".

    42. Are We Free to Ignore God's Law if We are "Under Grace"?

As regards the King James's use of 'faith of Christ', I guess the point is that grammatically the Greek there which sometimes literally seems to say 'the faith of Christ' should indeed be understood as 'faith in Christ'; hence the grammarians' term 'objective genitive'.

Poll: Best age for first tattoo?

Yes, indeed; careful planning is certainly called for; I guess this also is part of the idea behind the age focus of the poll. (If this makes sense?)

    42. Are We Free to Ignore God's Law if We are "Under Grace"?

I think the term is objective genitive, for 'faith in Christ' - sometimes expressed in the King James 'the faith of Christ'.

Street Preacher cries out: The soul who continues to sin will die

The tripartite aspect of man is clear from Scripture, right? "And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ." (1 Thessalonians 5.23)

    Romans 8

    Amen and Amen! :)

    Romans 8

Sadly true. To paraphrase Tina Turner, it's as if ppl have already decided what is supposedly 'fair' from reasoning influenced by secularism, and then say: 'What's the Bible got to do with it, got to do with?'

Street Preacher cries out: The soul who continues to sin will die

There are people who are always going to be opposed to the Gospel, but this does not mean it should not be preached faithfully.

    Beware Of Over Self-Confidence

Acts 2.42 - a great guide to local church activities - certainly includes prayer as pivotal!

Rapture Top Dogs Admit no Proof Exists.

Too true; the miocardial infarction comes upon us unawares...o_O It's a life-changing experience; but the Lord is with His people.

Poll: Best age for first tattoo?

@Waiting on him PS: I think you may have in the past mentioned a rather fast 'passage to adulthood' inking rather than a long desired and planned inking experience, at least with one of your daughters, right? Certainly 18 is a popular time to do it. (I wonder about those mentioned in the OP...

Rapture Top Dogs Admit no Proof Exists.

I like fried chicken - although dieticians seem to warn against too much fried stuff for some of us with heart issues...:)

    THE LAST SUPPER

There's plenty of Scripture for the Lord's Supper, but not for the harvest festival as far as the New Testament church is concerned.
