    Yes, good to wish @"ByGrace" a happy birthday if you knew it was today... Glad your mom recovered well from her heart attack at 50. Does she know you smoke? (sometimes it's kept well hidden from family members...)

    Well, I suppose that taken to extremes an argument could go like, Because even pierced ears are not strictly necessary, therefore they should be avoided, and tattoos also... I do think that one can easily slip into legalism, though, don't you?

    Well, quit if you can but don't beat yourself up; even the great preacher Spurgeon smoked. (He apparently had gout and smoking gave him some relief.)
