@"ByGrace" The issue is really, at that age, not to try to stop them getting tattoos, piercings, etc. (which are probably pretty harmless), but: if they are not wage earners, can they really afford to keep spending a lot of money in those establishments until they are more secure financially, right?

Yes, ppl talk about life-long learning these days and there doesn't seem to be a clear cut line between being a student and a wage earner. Mind you, when it comes to certain things today, such as tattoos, piercings, etc., they claim adult rights very quickly now, right? ;)

We all need to grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ (2 Peter 3); God sees the heart, but also gives us some clear Biblical markers.

Thanks for your comment. Actually I do like bacon burgers... :) When it comes to pierced ears and tattoos, frankly a lot of ppl have them done with a clear conscience and have no known complications, right?

Paul seems to be talking about the relationship between Jews and Gentiles. If Jews find faith, or even if they don't, Gentiles who have entered into blessing in Christ have nothing to be proud about.

The Gospel does indeed have necessary, factual content, Scripturally.

"It is finished" is a glorious statement! Hebrews chapters 9 and 10 are very clear about the finished work at the Cross which the Lord Jesus fully accomplished and which the Father fully accepts on the believer's behalf.
