In the past when I have told the ppl why I am putting them on 'ignore' the mods have come back to me and said that it's contrary to the terms of the forum to let personally pointed thoughts be posted on an open thread, or something. I usually just click 'ignore' now...

More likely, as regards your family members who get tattooed, you're more likely to say to your family, don't get too worked up about it, and instead enjoy the inking experiences if they continue to do it and use them to express something positive, right? (something like that, I guess, anyway...)

Hmm.... this thread started in my OP with a song by the fragrant Sarah Brightman proclaiming herself in Italian to be a stranger in her own city; suggested as a commentary on Brexit. It seems that the thread has taken some interesting turns lately...
