Works indeed follow faith; are a proof of faith. (Ephesians 2.10) But works do not create faith. (Ephesians 2.9). We need the Holy Spirit for the faith.

Well, there is such a prevalence of 'sign the dotted line / raise your hand / come to the front of the auditorium to talk to a counsellor' sort of 'evangelism' that the essential work of the Holy Spirit in drawing sinners to Christ is often overlooked, in fact if not in theory.
