Man has a part in his salvation=things to do, believe and say.

Leaving aside your terminology, this is what the Lord Jesus says in John 6.37: "All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out."

Even the faith is not meritorious, however. John 6.37: "All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out."

    The Five Points of Calvinism

When ppl denounce the 5 Points - which may be backed up with copious Scripture - it's as if the denunciations have little to do with Scripture, and a lot to do with an apparent determination to reject them.

Poll - Tattooing: from male military and biker ethos...to viable witness means for both genders?

I saw this, FYI: Legal status of tattooing in the European Union - Wikipedia Italy: "You must be over 18 years of age to get a tattoo freely without parental consent. You need to have parental or guardian consent at the ages of 16 and 17." So as you indicated, it's allowed at 16 if a parent...

Trinity vs. Tritheism: Understanding the Trinity.

It ought to go without saying that I don't deny that God is one: Scripture teaches it. There are also Three Divine Persons, which Scripture also teaches. A literal rendering of the Isaiah 9.6 phrase would be 'the Father of eternity': this is referring to the Son, in the context, and this is in...

    The Five Points of Calvinism

@Dave L PS: Here is a verse which balances both truths: divine sovereignty and human responsibility: "All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out." (John 6.37)

    The Five Points of Calvinism

Good point; so many ppl denounce without reading them and weighing them from Scripture. I do also think there are strong Scripture evidences for human responsibility as well as for divine sovereignty.

Did you happen to see this quote, reproduced above? I think it has already been catching on - at least, in some areas. forums dot thewelltrainedmind dot com

    How Important Truth?

Yes, indeed. John 14.6 is an ultimate reality also.

Poll - Tattooing: from male military and biker ethos...to viable witness means for both genders?

I think this same comment could be said about a lot of things beyond tattooing, right? I guess the onus is on those who receive it - as you did, of course - to make sure it turns out reasonably, right?

Trinity vs. Tritheism: Understanding the Trinity.

    No; three Persons, one God.

Poll - Tattooing: from male military and biker ethos...to viable witness means for both genders?

Yes, and it's often heavily represented in professions that many young people - especially young women - follow, such as nursing, as referred to, above: allnurses dot comYou're right also that even younger than 18 many young people - especially young women - wish to have it done; I do think...

Let's hope they get over the winter sniffles soon... Sounds like you do intend to talk to her and encourage her to pursue her flair for inking skin, anyway...

    How Important Truth?

I think the point is that for the church God will vindicate His cause in the Gospel and it's this that is the believer's chief aspiration. Some believers think that the law is the rule of the believer's life, but as a dispensationalist I would say rather that it's the Gospel that is the rule...

What's the weather like where you are?

Very cold indeed; with sharp windchill.

    How many ear piercings?

    @Nancy Well, I wouldn't regard your 5 as a supposed sign of apostasy... :)

    How Important Truth?

It's self-deception, yes, to think that the believer can 'continue in sin, that grace may abound' (Romans 6.1).

One God in Three Persons; Three Persons in One God.
