I suppose it is a sort of ritual for some ppl. I guess social smoking is particularly a ritual. Part of the challenger for quitters, when with friends who smoke socially, is not to smoke when others do so.

So a practical question about a widely done custom. Which ear piercing method is preferred: gun or needle? (Gun is usually used in mall kiosks; needle is usually used in parlors.)

John 3.16 is indeed a wonderful summary of the Gospel: salvation is a work which God does for the sinner! and it's by faith. Divine sovereignty and human responsibility are both involved.

Angelina, Thanks for your comment. Like for example, it's not unusual for ppl to have tattoos before they are converted - in fact, it's extremely widespread. Sometimes the tattoo relates design-wise to the past life before conversion. For example, a woman with the name of an ex-bf (e.g., 'Bill')...
