What is the strongest argument against the angels having been created in the likeness of God? I think the author of the short article quoted (and linked) in the OP provided it: the Bible doesn’t say that they were. (Why it doesn’t is worth thinking about.) I’m open to hearing other arguments...

The image and likeness of God - human beings - have the capacity, and are instructed in scripture to exhibit, to live, certain characteristics of God. Do the angels exhibit any of the characteristics of God? If they do, would that not be another way that they were created in the image of God?

To be made in the image and likeness of God is to be created to serve and to rule. Do the angels - the fallen as well as the holy - have the capacity to serve and to rule? Would that not be another way that angels were made in the image of God?

Interesting. I see Jesus - to greater and lesser degrees - in all people. I was wondering if the same could be said of seeing angels.

We probably all have but weren’t aware of it. That you have and are aware of it is a blessing from above. Do they look like Jesus?
