Yes. I‘m a little surprised that you didn’t quote Paul. Peter and Paul are both Jewish monotheists; as is the Messiah, the other apostles, and the earliest Christians. Why would a Protestant artist do that?

Jewish monotheists who believe God and also believe Messiah Jesus (John 14:1) are born again believers; Christian.

I agree. The Apostles’ Creed. ”Blessed be the God and Father of our lord Jesus Messiah.” What is it about the second one which causes you to think it obtuse? Does it not fit your theology?

Christianity is a broad spectrum and, whether someone likes it or not, the Catholic Church is on that spectrum. The same is true of Jewish monotheism. Christianity began as a sect of, and within, Judaism.

Thanks, but you didn’t answer my question about what you noticed in the depiction I asked about. I still appreciate your response. It confirms (or at least suggests) something I’ve been thinking about: Non-Catholics don’t really spend much quality time thinking about Catholic depictions.
