Which is worse, murder or eternal torture?

Yeah you sound really smart lol. Maybe if you try to read something other than the Bible (there are some really good none fiction books out there) you'd realise that your daddy doesn't exist.

The good man that turned bad out of necessity

There was plenty of time after the death of Jesus and before the writing of the gospels for folklore and oral tradition to inspire the inclusion of those words into Mark and Matthew, giving the impression of a fulfilled prophecy. Did Jesus really say those words?

The good man that turned bad out of necessity

The gospels were certainly shaped by Psalm 22. Have you ever heard of the term "self fulfilled prophecy'?

The good man that turned bad out of necessity

Yes I understand that. I also understand that asking someone why is questioning them.

The good man that turned bad out of necessity

Yes as documented in the gospels of Mark and Matthew.

    During his torture and crucifixion.

The good man that turned bad out of necessity

Early Christians embraced what Paul.wrote, that was what I meant by they achieved what they were meant to (at the time.)

The good man that turned bad out of necessity

I'm not likening myself to Jesus, nobody is going to remember me in 2000 years time... I'm simply saying that Jesus himself questioned God. Paul wrote Corinthians to try and dispel unrest in early Christianity I believe? Those letters achieved what they were meant to do.

The good man that turned bad out of necessity

If I'm not mistaken Jesus himself questioned God?

The good man that turned bad out of necessity

    And that is totally rational.

The good man that turned bad out of necessity

Of course you can question God. By the sound of it you can do anything and you'll be forgiven, even murder. That's how contradictory Christianity is... You are supposed to follow the golden rule even if your loved one's are in danger but it's somehow not a problem for murderers to be saved as...

The good man that turned bad out of necessity

I didn't think deeply when I was a Christian. I just went with the flow, didn't give much thought to what eternal life or who I'd be spending it with. Didn't give much thought to how wrong God's justice system is. I accepted silly explanations and didn't question them. I thought that the...

The good man that turned bad out of necessity

Can you not see how awful that is..... Let's go back to scenarios. I get home from work one night and my entire family are being attacked, now being a good Christian I try to intervene without killing but unfortunately the attacker overpowers me and knocked me out cold. When I awake my entire...

The good man that turned bad out of necessity

I'm concerned that people who have been raped or murdered may have to rub shoulders with their attackers, That's why I asked the question about memory.
  15. M

The good man that turned bad out of necessity

That very much depends on what home looks like. Would I be rubbing shoulders with murderers and rapists from this life who have become born again Christians and have been washed clean? Would they have recollection of their crimes or would their minds be wiped clean too?

The good man that turned bad out of necessity

So why would a God who had no beginning and has always been around create the earth 4.5 billion years ago? Or for YECs no more than 10,000 years ago? Can anyone explain what God was doing before creating earth? If you're reply is creating the universe then you must concede that the universe had...

The good man that turned bad out of necessity

Are you an old earth creationist?

The good man that turned bad out of necessity

I was always told that God has a plan for me, whoever I spoke to about the subject didn't ever go into any detail about what that plan is, therefore I wouldn't have a clue about what my forever existence might look like. I'm the type of person who likes to know what he's getting into before...
