  1. Armour of God

False Teaching: Mary died a virgin. Biblical Proof Mary had children.

Debunked. Hahahaha. Please. Like im going to believe your twisted translation of ancient Greek. All those verses I listed are strong evidence against perpetual virginity. You've debunked nothing. You only tried to add some doubt. A very small amount if doubt In the end their is no biblical...
  2. Armour of God

Jesus’s Adelphoi: Scripture and Early Christian Testimony

I'm not accepting your assumption. Mary was not saying she will be a perpetual virgin at all. So the best scriptural evidence you have for Mary bring a lifelong virgin is this... And Mary said to the angel, “How will this be, since I am a virgin?” - Luke 1:34 ESV I rest my case
  3. Armour of God

Jesus’s Adelphoi: Scripture and Early Christian Testimony

I've already answered your question. She asks the angel that because she was still a virgin at the time. It's not a reference to the future. She's not saying she will always be a virgin. That's just your erroneous claim That's your best scriptural evidence for perpetual virginity. One passage...
  4. Armour of God

Jesus’s Adelphoi: Scripture and Early Christian Testimony

I don't trust your interpretation of Greek. I trust what the English translations say. Mary is not saying she will be a lifelong virgin. That is an erroneous claim. Just admit it. Perpetual virgin is not biblical. At least not explicitly
  5. Armour of God

Jesus’s Adelphoi: Scripture and Early Christian Testimony

You seriously pressing this as an argument. Geez. Your clutching at straws if this is the best evidence you have for perpetual virginity. NIV and ESV say the same thing. It's not a paraphrase. Mary is not talking about the future. She does not say she will remain a virgin in the future. She's...
  6. Armour of God

Jesus’s Adelphoi: Scripture and Early Christian Testimony

Mary said to the angel, “How will this happen? I am still a virgin.” - Luke 1:34 ERV Mary doesn't say she's remaining a virgin her whole life. Your argument for perpetual virginity is very weak. It's not based on any scripture that's explicit. Not even any scripture that implicit. Your better...
  7. Armour of God

Jesus’s Adelphoi: Scripture and Early Christian Testimony

At least another Catholic member on this forum, bread of life, admits there is no scripture that says Mary was a perpetual virgin. His argument is to basically trust the the RCC. Those verses you mentioned only say that Mary was a virgin before. It does not say remained a virgin her whole life...
  8. Armour of God

Jesus’s Adelphoi: Scripture and Early Christian Testimony

Perpetual virginity is not scriptural. Show me where the bible teaches perpetual virginity?
  9. Armour of God

Jesus’s Adelphoi: Scripture and Early Christian Testimony

There are no bible verses that teach that Mary was a perpetual virgin. I don't know how the RCC came up with that dogma but it's definitely not biblical. However there are several verses that teach that she wasn't a perpetual virgin Matthew 1:25 Matthew 13:55–56 Mark 6:3 Matthew 12:46 Mark...

There are no bible verses that teach that Mary was a perpetual virgin. However there are verses that teach that she wasn't Matthew 1:25 Matthew 13:55–56 Mark 6:3 Matthew 12:46 Mark 3:31 Luke 8:19

Bear walks into barber shop, market and does his business

They seem to be experts at finding food
  13. Armour of God

Jesus’s Adelphoi: Scripture and Early Christian Testimony

In order for you to prove that Mary was a perpetual virgin you need to show where it says that in scripture. But you have failed to do that explicitly or implicitly. That's why you haven't convinced me at all. Your arguments only consist of throwing doubt into the passages that tells us they...

Bear walks into barber shop, market and does his business

So cheeky. He knows his doing the wrong thing. :jest:
  15. Armour of God

Jesus’s Adelphoi: Scripture and Early Christian Testimony

I don't need to do anything for you. Your belief isn't based on scripture. No where have you shown that Scripture tells us that Mary remained a virgin. You've only taken the versus that support Jesus having siblings and tried to put doubt into them, unsuccessfully. If they meant cousin then...
  16. Armour of God

Jesus’s Adelphoi: Scripture and Early Christian Testimony

I don't need to do anything again. You can have your belief but it's not biblical at all. Scripture never says that Mary remained a virgin.
  17. Armour of God

Jesus’s Adelphoi: Scripture and Early Christian Testimony

I've refuted most of your excuses on here and other threads. They are weak assumptions. Very speculative. The Bible never says that Mary remained a virgin... NEVER
  18. Armour of God

Jesus’s Adelphoi: Scripture and Early Christian Testimony

Your excuses haven't swayed me. Matthew said what he did because he knew they had kids together. The Bible never explicitly says that Mary was a perpetual virgin. In fact it suggest that Mary did have a family with Joseph I believe.
  19. Armour of God

Jesus’s Adelphoi: Scripture and Early Christian Testimony

@Moonwood If Mary's virginity were such a big deal then some of the NT writers would of said so. But the fact is that none of the NT writers ever claimed that Mary remained a virgin. It's not biblical. The bible does not claim it
