I don't like TV and listening to the news. I do like media though but choose what I want to watch. Maybe a doco or video on archeology and especially biblical stuff. I have listened to podcasts and it becomes boring. The same old arguements that never end. It is getting hard in todays media...

I think fundementally it comes down to a worldview about how life and reality is ordered. But under that its a spiritual belief about whether there is a God of this world. Because to my mind if Christ is the way, truth and life then any alternative will not be as abundent and a full life. I...

I think Christ said to the disciples that they were to take nothing but the sandels on their feet and their bags. Which I assume had their only possessions. I cannot remember if it was Paul or maybe Clement that said that a visiting elder should not ask for food. This was a way to decern if...

Another good real life survival movie I watched was Jungle (2017) with Daniel Radcliffe. Its about these 4 guys I think and their adventure into the Amazon jungle and how they got seperated and lost. Everyone made it out except for Radcliffe who was playing real life survivor Yossi Ghinsberg's...

Yes and I am glad I rewatched it. It never becomes boring and I was glued to the screen. I watched it again as I also read something about the true story. Some movies are worth watching again. Especially real life ones. Yes a creepy and intense movie when they are left among the open waters and...

Ok but is that not applied to any prophet or messiah. The Jews still believe the messiah is yet to come. Whereas Christ is not only the Messiah but God Himself.

I am at a point where I cannot watch anything but either something based on true life such as a biography or histoirical events. Or maybe a documentary such as on space or social events. Or about peoples experiences even if that may seem unreal such as encounters with aliens. Sometimes this may...

I love the Pulse version of this song. With the clock ticking and rotating and the hour glass from memory. So iconic and went with the music. But I think as this was a time of introspection and experimenting not just in music but culturally Pink Floyd captured that evolving culture at the...

Yes having a belief and submission to God and by extension His word. Which is fullfilled in Christ. We have a physical representation and the direct words from Christ. This is Gods word. But I think it takes an obedience and submission to honor God. To acknowledge that He is God over everything...

Yes sorry. I meant it like you said. That the idea of time is something we humans cannot comprehend. Time is actually a strange concept. Even within science it can predict some strange outcomes. Such as in quantum physics. Just like QM we have no idea what this all represents in the greater...

As they say it can be used for good or evil. If only we could harness the effort and motivation for evil into doing it for God. I think this is satans mission to decieve people into a false god. A false idea that we are the gods of our own worlds and lives. Right from the garden when satan...

Thanks, I will check it out. :gd

Good sermon. He speaks the truth. I like the comparison to how the Isrealites rejected God and began to worship the golden calf. I think in some ways now the whole gentile world who the promise was also made to are reaching the point of rejecting God and worshipping the modern day version of...

According to God a day is a 1,000 years and a 1,000 years is a day. I don't think we humans can comprehend time on this temporal plane. It could be that the end times was from after Christ. Because all through history Christians see evil in the world and pending doom. I think every generation...

I think Jesus also was sad that His own people had betrayed Him and done such evil. He also said "forgive them for they know not what they do". So he was looking past the sin and loving the person and longing for them to be saved. Despite that humans will sin and even betray Him. I think its a...

I think we can trace the cultivation of what has happened in the last 15 or so years back to the mid 20th century revolutions. Which were a reaction against the church and God. That was the beginning of a cultural wide and engineered rebellion against God. The folowing decades and especially in...

So long as they are subject to the true worship of God in Christ. The problem I see is that we can look at any religion and find similar rituals and traditions that are not of God. So rituals and traditions need to be grounded in Christ or otherwise they could represent any number of...

Thankyou. Yes I think there is a growing religiousity where people are like pharisees focusing on interpretations and denying the true spirit of Christ. I think the resistence is all about the spiritual world. A spiritual battle of ideologies and dark pricipalities working against Christs...

I like Wes Huff when it comes to tracing the correct translations and meanings. He is a geek on that stuff. I came across another pod from the Catholic Brothers. Two brothers who have studied from different perspectives on the history and tradition. They are good as they also go into the...

Religion itsefl is human made. The rituals and traditions of man. But to help the poor and widows is a nobel cause of the spirit. You don't have to be religious. In fact religion can be in practice or tradition and not in the spirit. I think thats the essense of what James is saying. I think...
