The Bible is Father-Centric not Christo-Centric

Paul was a Christian. He had none of the distinctives of Catholicism. If he had such distinctives, it's astounding that in none of his letters to local churches that are in our New Testaments does he even mention a pope, auricular confession, praying to Mary or the "saints", vestments, and so...

    God’s name….

But John 5:28-29 don't mention the dead getting a second chance to believe.

What Is Truth? – The Trial Before Pilate

But Behold did not claim that all of God's thoughts and words are in the bible, but that (as I understand it) all the thoughts and words He wished to communicate to mankind are.

What Is Truth? – The Trial Before Pilate

So how do you decide that Maria Valtorta's work is true, and inspired by God Himself? As I said before, there have been many people down the centuries who have claimed to be "filling in the gaps" in Scripture. An example is the so-called "Infancy Gospels", purporting to provide us with details...

What Is Truth? – The Trial Before Pilate

Who says so? Are you saying her writings are God's inspired word, like the Scriptures?

What does Scripture say about the King James Bible?

    Sorry, what is a "bong"?

What Is Truth? – The Trial Before Pilate

But this was in the writings of one Maria Valtorta, not God Himself.

What Is Truth? – The Trial Before Pilate

But there are warnings in the bible about adding to Scripture. All sorts of people down the centuries have tried doing so, and the "results" often differ with each other and with Scripture itself.

What Is Truth? – The Trial Before Pilate

Sorry, what commentary by Jesus on His interaction with Pilate? I see from your link that it comes from "Poem of The Man-God" by Maria Valtorta. I think it is vital that we get back to the bible for the truth.

    God’s name….

Well, let me start by saying that I am not even going to mention Jehovah's Witnesses, so this won't be an anti-JW rant. I just want to redress the balance a little by quoting a passage from Acts, which talks of the importance of the name of Jesus Christ: “"If we this day are judged for a...

Is it biblical? - What does that even mean?

If you are correct, then (according to you) saying such things as "by nature, we are all dead in trespasses and sins" or "our salvation is entirely by God's grace" is not only unbiblical but is (in your words) "authored by the devil and his demon buddies." Yet we read such things in the bible...

Is it biblical? - What does that even mean?

If by "Calvinists" you mean people who believe in the so-called "Doctrines of Grace," then I don't believe your contention that they take scriptures out of context. Many of the historical Confessions of Faith are Calvinistic, yet they are firmly based on Scriptural teaching (and not Scripture...

What does Scripture say about the King James Bible?

Sorry, but I am still wondering how King Cyrus turns into King James, and how threescore and threescore can represent 66.

Is it biblical? - What does that even mean?

Yes, I have seen that example in a critique of the idea of opening the bible at random, and believing that the first verse you eye catches must be God's word to you for the day. Somebody apparently did that, and the first verse he came across was "Judas went and hanged himself" (Matthew 27:5)...

What does Scripture say about the King James Bible?

This post looks very familiar. In fact it seems exactly the same as you have posted before. Here again you have said (for instance) that the temple's dimensions represent the 66 books of the bible. However, a score is 20, so threescore is 60, and threescore plus threescore is 120. How does...

Reader Poll - Would you be a Christian if there was no afterlife?

I think that's reading too much into the post. I read it to mean that the poster didn't claim to know how he would react to persecution/torture, not saying that he would deny the Lord.

I have my doubts that Catholicism is Christianity

When he was speaking to the elders of the church at Ephesus, Paul said: “"Therefore take heed to yourselves and to all the flock, among which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the church of God which He purchased with His own blood.” (Ac 20:28 NKJV) The word translated...

I have my doubts that Catholicism is Christianity

It is of course possible to twist any words of Scripture, whether from Genesis, Job, Matthew, Paul's epistles, or any other book of the bible. Twisting is wrong, but that is not the same thing as saying that the words of Scripture penned by Paul are less important than other parts of the bible.

I have my doubts that Catholicism is Christianity

Sorry, but what does that have to do with your suggestion that people are guilty of putting the words of Paul above those of Jesus?
