Sinless Perfection. Why do so many teach against what Jesus taught?

I was speaking of church history, starting with Catholics, and the last four church ages out of the seven letters. The first is Thyatira in Rev. 2, that Jesus said, "19 “I know your works, love, service, faith, and your patience; and as for your works, the last are more than the first." As you...

Outer Darkness: a possible destiny for the saved

Twice dead seems to mean annihilation.

Sinless Perfection. Why do so many teach against what Jesus taught?

If so, then you do NOT believe that the gifts of the Spirit of our New Covenant ceased. But I still don't know what the scoffing was all about. Scoffing is unbelief.

Sinless Perfection. Why do so many teach against what Jesus taught?

The flesh is the old man. It was the sin nature. It is our nature that must be born again of the Spirit. Once cleansed we are no longer in the flesh, but in the Spirit. You can't be both.

Sinless Perfection. Why do so many teach against what Jesus taught?

This seems to be a mistranslation, because it not we who puts to death the deeds of the flesh, but the Spirit only. We can't. We are either in the flesh, or in the Spirit, but not both. Romans 7:5-6 5 For when we were in the flesh, the sinful passions which were aroused by the law were at work...

Sinless Perfection. Why do so many teach against what Jesus taught?

I'm not in any cult. I follow Christ and the apostles, and stay away from post apostolic church fathers. Curious about your scoffing emoji. Are you a cessationist?

Sinless Perfection. Why do so many teach against what Jesus taught?

I believe every word, e. My eyes and ears have also been opened by the Spirit of God, but I haven't seen Jesus, nor heaven nor angels. What I see is the anointing on a pastor, but only during his sermon. On two pastors and one woman it was glowing white. But in Pentecostal churches it is cobalt...

Sinless Perfection. Why do so many teach against what Jesus taught?

Yes, and John 8:34-36 shows us that as children of God we do not sin. Those who sin are slaves of sin and are not children of God.

Sinless Perfection. Why do so many teach against what Jesus taught?

You are quoting Galatians 5:17, but the publishers of the Bible made an error. The Holy Spirit doesn't war against the flesh, because we are not in the flesh but in the Spirit if the Spirit of God dwells within us. They capitalized the "s" when it should have read spirit/mind. Paul is quoting...

Sinless Perfection. Why do so many teach against what Jesus taught?

The gospel is the power of God. Power to be what?

Sinless Perfection. Why do so many teach against what Jesus taught?

The core of the issue is the sin nature. Do you believe you do not have a sin nature, or did Jesus leave it intact when he cleansed you? If so, what did He cleanse?

Sinless Perfection. Why do so many teach against what Jesus taught?

I'm curious which denomination would scoff.

Sinless Perfection. Why do so many teach against what Jesus taught?

That is why 1 John 3:9 does not have the word "practice" in it, that was added. Once we are born again of the Spirit, all we have to do is follow our super-sensitized conscience. It is the power in "power steering."

Sinless Perfection. Why do so many teach against what Jesus taught?

What part of you is cleansed? Do you believe like millions of Christians that you still have a sin nature?

Sinless Perfection. Why do so many teach against what Jesus taught?

It was the sin I couldn't turn away from by myself. When I finally turned the whole matter over to Jesus, that was what true repentance meant, and Jesus took away all desire to commit adultery, making me born again of the Spirit, and I was not only saved, but I was filled with God's presence...

What happens then? Once you repent and believe on the Messiah, what happens then regarding sin?
