Sinless Perfection. Why do so many teach against what Jesus taught?

I also don't like how Peter chose Mathias as an Apostle, instead of letting Jesus choose His own Apostles. Paul is who Jesus chose.

Sinless Perfection. Why do so many teach against what Jesus taught?

I just wrote what God said. And I'm not answering the four posts against me that you liked. I didn't. It appears what I said went to deaf ears.

Sinless Perfection. Why do so many teach against what Jesus taught?

amigo my friend, I wasn't going to say anything, but I must. We are to love one another, especially our brethren in Christ's Bride. I can see why Paul many times would say he wasn't perfect. I hate that he ridiculed Peter for doing the same thing that he did himself. Paul even paid for vows to...

Sinless Perfection. Why do so many teach against what Jesus taught?

Because it says so at the beginning of the chapter. 4 Whoever commits sin also commits lawlessness, and sin is lawlessness. 5 And you know that He was manifested to take away our sins, and in Him there is no sin. 6 Whoever abides in Him does not sin. Whoever sins has neither seen Him nor...

Sinless Perfection. Why do so many teach against what Jesus taught?

Back in 2001 I was living in Arizona and drove back to my old church in California for a Spirit-filled Living Conference. In the afternoon you could pick which teacher you wanted to hear, and I chose one in the main sanctuary that held a couple thousand people. The speaker was a woman that also...

Sinless Perfection. Why do so many teach against what Jesus taught?

What I found interesting in the past few years of pondering how God sees sin, I noticed how other Christians see sin, can differ from how God views it. I left the Seventh-day Adventist church when I was 23, but with all that has been happening in the world, and the signs of the times, I had a...

Sinless Perfection. Why do so many teach against what Jesus taught?

It is the context of where "sin" is written that gives the writer's definition. For instance, in 1 John 3 the context about sin is "lawlessness." Lawlessness are sins unto death, not merely trespasses. Whereas, 1 John 1:7 are trespasses of someone walking in the Spirit. The Spirit is not in...

Sinless Perfection. Why do so many teach against what Jesus taught?

I had the same experience you had - both at once. The cleansing of fleshly desires from my nature, and the power of God. But it remained. No "leakage."

Sinless Perfection. Why do so many teach against what Jesus taught?

Hi E, In this post above what initial grace does one have before being filled with the Spirit?

Sinless Perfection. Why do so many teach against what Jesus taught?

In Greek poieo means commit. The context of the whole chapter three is lawlessness against God's laws which you can only commit willfully, not unintentionally - the second and lesser type of sin not shown in this chapter. The lesser type is basically due to immature fruit of the Spirit which...

Sinless Perfection. Why do so many teach against what Jesus taught?

EG, the context of chapter 3 is lawlessness; the breaking of God's commandment which can only be done willfully. That is a sin unto death which a born again Christian filled with God's Spirit cannot commit. Therefore, if someone who is born again does commit a sin of lawlessness, it only...

I put once in there as how many times do you need to murder to be sentenced to death? Just once.

    SIN - RIGHTEOUS OR HOLY

Fasting is for hearing God clearly, but it is for those who have already repented and are born again of the Spirit. Many people go to church and know all about Jesus, but are still a slave to sin, and are taught by false teachers in the same condition like the Pharisees who kept the letter of...

Sinless Perfection. Why do so many teach against what Jesus taught?

Was it something you said, because I don't know what he's referring to.

Sinless Perfection. Why do so many teach against what Jesus taught?

Don't you think "commit" once, rather than "practice" more than once is present? The Greek word used means "commit" once.

Sinless Perfection. Why do so many teach against what Jesus taught?

I haven't used the word "judge" so I think you may be thinking of someone else. I haven't read all the posts on here; only the ones addressed to me so can't help.

Evidently not seeing as I can't relate to anything you are saying, let alone know what I've said to make you think so.

Sinless Perfection. Why do so many teach against what Jesus taught?

First of all, a born again Christian didn't commit the sin unto death you are speaking of, so they are not forgiven. 1 John 3:9 says someone born again cannot commit that type of sin even once! Reformationists added the word "practice" which doesn't even make sense. It is obvious they don't...

Sinless Perfection. Why do so many teach against what Jesus taught?

My conscience is clear. I have no sin. Not because they are all "forgiven," but because I walk in the Spirit and do not commit any willful sins. That is the sign of a true Christian. True Christians have been set free from sin, and are slaves of righteousness.
