    Biblical Support For Soliciting Prostitutes

Nuance. Required Not Required but Ideal optionally. (intent) Condoned (allowed but not preferred) Prohibited. Not everyone can handle nuance and ambiguity. Although this thread is about #3, opponents bring up other levels to confuse.

    Biblical Support For Soliciting Prostitutes

Strawman. Intent is moving the goal post. That’s why you don’t see wiggle room. Divorce is also condoned even though not God’s intent. There have now been 4 examples presented in this thread where having sex with a prostitute is condoned in the Bible.

    Biblical Support For Soliciting Prostitutes

This goes to support my other "stirring the pot" threads about the Biblical support and moral justification to lie. In addition to Rahab, the midwives in Moses' day were also specifically held by God to be righteous because they lied (about how Israeli women gave birth too quickly for them to...

This is why I put him on ignore several years ago. His interfaith posts are made no matter what the thread topic is. Very sad. Then there is his alter ego who only posts after he does. The mods must see this.

    Biblical Support For Soliciting Prostitutes

It amazes me how quickly so many people in this thread turn to Ad Homenim rather than address the uncomfortable ambiguity of Scripture. The pressure to state the obvious is palpable. War is bad. Sex in marriage is the ideal. Equal protection under the law is the ideal. Slavery is bad. Freedom...

    Biblical Support For Soliciting Prostitutes

We can agree that the Bible does condone having sex with prostitutes as the OP identified. And we can also agree that Paul wrote about an ideal while admitting his preferred ideal is NOT the command of God. See the difference? See post #31 Obviously not a matter of "clear sin" in the...

    The Real : ISSUE

Acts 2:21 everyone who calls in the name of the Lord shall be saved. Saving requires action by those saved. Here, they must call on the name of the Lord.

    Biblical Support For Soliciting Prostitutes

<sigh> Moving the goal posts. If God does not prohibit something then it is allowed. It being allowed doesn't mean it is ideal or optimum. Take Jesus talking about cannibalism is John 6, that led to even his disciples leaving him in v 66. Saying something that causes even disciples to leave is...

How much clearer does Paul have to make it that this is his opinion AND not a command from God?

    Biblical Support For Soliciting Prostitutes

Doesn’t say anything about prostitution, only the conditions to leave parents. I hope you‘re not equating a wife to a prostitute?

Jack, this thread is about your opinion and not Scripture.

No. By all means, keep reading the Bible. Odd that you would take my post to submit to mean to stop reading. Submit in your reading. Why is this reading not comfortable? Did you expect having your sins exposed to be comfortable? The arrogance comes through loud and clear in this post. This is...

@Behold, you say Grace is unconditional. Scripture say there are conditions to God’s Grace. I believe the Bible over what your OSAS obsession.

    The Real : ISSUE

Here is where you are totally wrong. Totally wrong. The “string attached” dude is not in the nature of the giver but the nature of receiving. Only the individual receiver has burden here. And you’re denying our ongoing burden to work, to produce fruit or be thrown into the fire, etc.

    The Real : ISSUE

Agreed. You are denying our role in receiving this or any gift.
