Reviving Biblical Christianity (The Way) Part 2

Question: Has there been further revelation of doctrine since the apostolic times and writing of the holy writ? Must this further revelation be confirmed by scripture?

Reviving Biblical Christianity (The Way) Part 2

Under the New Covenant, scripture tells us that the Spirit will teach, immediately, objectively and continually. "I will put my laws into their minds and write them in their hearts and I will be unto them a God and they shall be to Me a people" (Heb. 8:10-11) We can know whether a man speaks...

God has to use me as there are no men around He can use to plead holiness.

Reviving Biblical Christianity (The Way) Part 2

Revelations will be in reference to the situation but nothing new. We know spiritual things through our spirits not our intellects. You say that because you do not understand how the spirit works.

Psychopaths are not led by their emotions - they do not have them. Nor me because I am autistic. A numbr of men have told me I have very good analytical skills. But I agree about the state of the church.

Reviving Biblical Christianity (The Way) Part 2

I believe that the faith was handed down by word of mouth and written by the apostles and there is nothing new to be added.

I am on a discussion board. Do you want to ban women? Not surprised if yes.

"Progressive Christianity—is a contemporary religious movement that reinterprets traditional doctrines through modern science, historical-critical biblical scholarship, and an emphasis on social justice, inclusivity, and continuous questioning over rigid dogma,"

You are missing something important here. You are up against a brick wall because you are arguing against Progressive Theology which has quite a few followers here. You need to do your homework. I am not a Progressive by the way.

I will answer this one, but note, I am not about to enter debate with you as 1) I do not wish to argue 2) I am unwell atm. Some use this verse – if we say we have no sin we deceive ourselves 1 John 8, to justify their position but they are taking it out of context as John 1 was written to...

Reviving Biblical Christianity (The Way) Part 2

OK my examples have not been very good. I meant that there is a stage of not being led that is not sin itself, like following instinct. I'm getting confused now. it is hard to relate to that period exactly as it is really in a diferent realm. I will give it more thought when I am less busy later.

Reviving Biblical Christianity (The Way) Part 2

It has never been self satisfaction . It has been self hatred or glorifying God for what He has done, alone, with no help from me! It took many many years before I was responding the correct way and face down in the dirt. That 18 months I never once thought it was due to my efforts and knew it...

Reviving Biblical Christianity (The Way) Part 2

Yes John did not imply that we never sin again. But not in that state. (2 Corinthians 4:7-18) 1What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? 2God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein? 3Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized...

Reviving Biblical Christianity (The Way) Part 2

Let me quote you what George Fox said in his Journal: "Now was I come up in spirit through the flaming sword, into the paradise of God. All things were new, and all the creation gave another smell unto me than before, beyond what words can utter. I knew nothing but pureness and innocency and...

Reviving Biblical Christianity (The Way) Part 2

Obeying what our minds tell us, is walking in the flesh. Flesh is all things that come from our humanism. We are to be led and taught by the Spirit. That does not mean in mindlessness. The mind is to be a servant.

Reviving Biblical Christianity (The Way) Part 2

The thing is, that when walking in perfection, one cannot sin: King James Bible Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. 1John 3:9 There is no sin in this as one has been translated into holiness. There is no...

Reviving Biblical Christianity (The Way) Part 2

Yes I agree, there is a difference, and a vision of the glorified Christ can be the start of the translation or just a fleeting blessing. People ask how can one fall from that state? The quickest way is to rely in their own strength ie the flesh by using their intellect instead of relying on...

*Hugs* This is a long shot, but have you looked into the possibility of undiagnosed autism with or without ADHD? I have been though similar in my life.

Reviving Biblical Christianity (The Way) Part 2

Hi I am not finding a church that teaches it as an event. The Orthodox teach it as a process like all the other churches apparently, in these modern times. In the past, Orthodoxy, Wesleyism, the Sally Army, Nazarines and Quakerism taught it but usually after a revival and the next generation...
