How do Amils typically deal with Revelation 19:7 in light of Revelation 21:2,9-10?

I'm not so sure about "most," but those who do... are wrong... <smile> As I said in my previous post to you (which you may or may not intend to respond to), "the 'pothole' many unwittingly fall into is not realizing that many of the events in parts of Revelation are thematically arranged rather...

How do Amils typically deal with Revelation 19:7 in light of Revelation 21:2,9-10?

Okay, but surely you don't think this (ore something like it) is an actual satellite photo of the earth: <smile> So, yes, God's footstool (God proclaims this Himself in Isaiah 66:1), but this is to say ~ symbolically, really ~ that, as Jesus is teaching in Matthew 5, God's sovereignty and the...

How do Amils typically deal with Revelation 19:7 in light of Revelation 21:2,9-10?

Hmmmm... What do you mean when you say "the earth is made His enemy"? Grace and peace to you.

How do Amils typically deal with Revelation 19:7 in light of Revelation 21:2,9-10?

Well, God the Father does not have a right hand like human beings do, so yeah. <smile> Right. Ugh. <smile> I mean, Christ is going to (literally, of course) return and defeat Satan once and for all. It will certainly have spiritual implications, but it will be a real event. I hope we all...

How do Amils typically deal with Revelation 19:7 in light of Revelation 21:2,9-10?

Not all of it... the events of Revelation 19:11-21 are prior to the events described in Revelation 20:11-15. The events of Revelation 19:11-21 are synonymous/concurrent with the events of Revelation 20:7-10. The events described in Revelation 19:1-10 are after. Grace and peace to you, Marty.

How do Amils typically deal with Revelation 19:7 in light of Revelation 21:2,9-10?

Agree. Right... Hm. Well if you say, as you did ~ and I agree ~ that Revelation 19:7 and Revelation 21:2, 9-10 are the same events, and Revelation 19:7 is after the final judgment (which, maybe I'm wrong, but I thought you stated also), then... how do you then say this? If you in fact said...

LEFT BEHIND ... what to do?

The "mark of the beast" as a sign that identifies those who worship the beast out of the sea (Revelation 13:1). The contextual significance of marking those who worship the beast is the opposite of the seal on the foreheads of those who worship the Lamb (Revelation 7:3, 14:1), so, yes, "the...

    Rapture ... soon?

Yeah, this is not an original thought, but... well, I seem to remember something about returning evil for evil, and, you know, not doing it...<smile> Grace and peace!

    Rapture ... soon?

This is pretty mild compared to other things that have been said, but come on, man. Grace and peace to you.

    Rapture ... soon?

Right, it's just goofy, really. <smile> So, it is what it is, but to disparage or denigrate fellow Christians for believing it is... really bad (terribly sinful)... and to be self-righteous to any degree for not falling for it is also really bad (terribly sinful)... and that's my point. To...

    Rapture ... soon?

Disagree. So, not necessarily, and probably not. They're just... mistaken. And that's really okay. I mean yeah, we all agree that we want to understand everything in the Bible perfectly, and probably to an... "unhealthy"... degree, we think we do. But... it's really okay. Really. They're...

    Rapture ... soon?

I love (hate, actually) how everybody on here insults each other in so many different ways... intelligence level, cognitive ability, spiritual state, personal worthiness of consideration... Wow. I mean, this is supposed to be Christian-to-Christian interaction, for goodness sake; one might...

Can any of you link or share a good argument against FULL preterism?

The trumpet judgments of Revelation 8-11: Seven angels blow seven trumpets. The trumpets set in motion seven judgments leading up to the Second Coming. The trumpets form the second cycle out of several that depict God’s rule over history from various angles. Like the trumpets used in the battle...

    Rapture ... soon?

I don't feel pushed. But I don't feel like you're actually wanting a conversation, either, so you, I'm not pushing you into anything, either. Okay, sure. Seems to me you're being at least a bit coy, for some reason. But whatever... That's not what's happening. I'm not going to be the...

    Rapture ... soon?

Ah, opinions... yeah, you know, everybody has one or two... <smile> No, it's actually suggestive of further conversation. If you want to press me on it, then go right ahead; that's kind of what I'm trying to get you to do. But it seems like you don't want to do that. Maybe I'm wrong about...

    Rapture ... soon?

And I said it was just a misunderstanding. That's all. Which it was. Again, regarding Luke and Mark, yes, they were not apostles; I just did not immediately think of them in referring to the apostles and the New Testament authors. And I was kidding ~ poking at you, so to speak ~ with the...

    Rapture ... soon?

Right. I didn't really "make a claim." I just did not immediately think of Luke and Mark. If you want to feel good about yourself "getting me" with a "gotcha" thing, then... I don't care. <smile> Nobody's perfect. <smile> I've been fielding a lot of different (and rather wild) comments in...

    Rapture ... soon?

This conversation has been very... disjointed. Four statements: I disagree that Revelation was written prior to 70 A.D... and say again that it was written close to the end of the century, which is the general consensus, and by a wide margin. I do in fact agree that what happened between 66...

    Rapture ... soon?

I said that in response to your having said, "the events that were supposed to happen in the first century are not for us today to wait for them to happen." Now, maybe I misunderstood that comment, but that comment, to me, was tantamount to saying, in effect, that nothing John wrote in...
