Then you should give it up. We disagree. 7 times silver is refined @Laurina pointed out. This is progressive, whether you admit it or not. And one of the things I love about the Bible is how rich it is in saying the same thing in different ways - including the parable of Matthew 25 that you...

I love the pivot from the purpose of grace to the purpose of faith. Thank you. Only in the last few years did I grasp the complete understanding between justice, mercy and grace. To summarize: Justice is balance, getting what one deserves or what one has earned. For most of my life, this is...

Now you are admitting arguing for arguments’s sake. We disagree. The parable teaches progressive testing. Bless your heart @bdavidc. Bless your heart! Just recently I remodeled steps to a deck. To do this, one must know the rise and the run. Note: the singular nature of these words; rise, not...

Understatement of your position, where you unreasonably disregard repeated testing indicating in Scripture as you are not so inclined.

Over a dozen Scripture verses have been provided. Just ignore verse @Laurina made?! Nice. You don’t have eyes to see. Make a blessed day.

This will be my last post in this thread diverting from evolution to the merits you give for discarding Genesis And other Scripture. I used to think as you do. Now I recognize Genesis as the bulwark against BS, particularly chapters 1 - 11. To wit. Not sure how you elevate this evolution...

Jesus referring to trees in Luke 23 (VOICE) Jesus (to the people in the crowd): 28 Daughters of Jerusalem, do not weep for Me. Weep instead for yourselves and weep for your children. 29 Days are coming when people will say, “Blessed are the infertile; blessed are the wombs that never bore a...

If you read post #68, I referenced many verses in Scripture - not just the one parable. I hope you understand that even if your claim is correct, it is still a Strawman argument against @Episkopos' observation of a progressive structure in Scripture. Why do we do this? Why do we not accept...

Not sure what your opposition is to the concept of beginning. Deriving principles and historical facts elsewhere doesn't take away the need to understand our beginning, our genesis, in one place.

Well done @ Laurina! These verses should be addressed by our friend, @bdavidc and I look forward to his thoughtful reply. These verses support my original statement of more verses than initially used to support the observation. Refining silver and listing 7 times being refined could...

That's how I see it also. He's intelligent but that gift has blinded him to his own glory to the point he need not educate himself on a competing idea! (It's sad how the Original Sin plays out still.) IMO, this distills the whole debate down to its essence! Humbling facts for evolutionists...

Are you serious? The Biblical narrative flows from the 1st 11 chapters of Genesis. Either YHWH, an eye witness to events, created the heavens and the Earth in 6 literal days or he didn’t. If you can’t believe that, it begs the question of what else in Scripture is not true and reliable? I...

Well said! Every educated person must grasp this.

Sometimes it’s hard to believe you’re a Christian. Ever hear the term adverse witness?

Have you watched the vids that @Armour of God provided? Your hostility to a position that is not your own. reliance on personal attacks and hubris in your own understanding does not make a good witness for Christ. Imagine for a moment the Bible is correct about the world being 6,000 years old ….

The religion of evolution is rooted in the sacrament of LONG TIME. It’s their answer to everything. Except even that doesn’t hold up to scrutiny with entropy as @Jericho pointed out in the OP, and as @marks pointed out, irreducible complexity and most damning if all, informational content in DNA.

Yea, this is how language works; being explicit all the time is not required AND the Bible is a highly metaphorical book, further making your explicit standard untenable. From a logical perspective, you have not explained why progression is not reasonable. Tested in 1st grade gives certain...

A warrior God. Foolish. Only a warrior God can ultimately defeat the devil.

It’s not an emotional reaction one little bit. That’s projecting. It is staying focused on what is our responsibility - to judge the act - and not get distracted by your Appeal To Emotion, of what is in the heart of the murderer, which is also irrelevant to the matter at hand.

Just dismiss the words of our Lord just like that eh? Who is to do the slaughtering in the parable? A. God B. People who follow God.
