linking the AoD of Dan 9 and the O.D.

How do you explain the grammar? How can it be identifying "he" as anyone other than Messiah? Irenaeus did not attempt an explanation of the covenant. Hippolytus' messages were mixed: HIPPOLYTUS OF ROME THE EXTANT WORKS AND FRAGMENTS OF HIPPOLYTUS. And in like manner Gabriel says: "To blot...

linking the AoD of Dan 9 and the O.D.

"He" as the Antichrist in Daniel 9:27 is an exclusive product of 19th-century Darby/Scofield dispensational futurism. Unknown in the historical true Christian Church before then. Fails simple grammar referent/antecedent test, not to mention Scripture, history, and logic. As does any...

The Orthodox Preterist versus the Heretical Dispensationalist

Link to the post in which I claimed to be "the only one true to God's Word".

linking the AoD of Dan 9 and the O.D.

I don't think you'll find any ECF or recognized historical exegete who considers "he" who confirms the covenant to be a Roman leader. The ruler (prince) who came was Messiah the Prince (Daniel 9:25), via referent/antecedent.

linking the AoD of Dan 9 and the O.D.

Via grammatical referent/antecedent, the "he" who confirms the covenant refers back to Messiah. You were right originally.

The 144,000 before God at the end.

My version reads: "For they are not all Israel, which are of Israel:" Same as Paul. Clean your spectacles. And learn how to copy/paste. It's tough when you can neither see straight nor think straight.

The Orthodox Preterist versus the Heretical Dispensationalist

Of course not. A cult will never admit to being a cult. It will only ever insist that it is "the only one true to God's Word".

The Orthodox Preterist versus the Heretical Dispensationalist

There is nothing funny about cults. So you should stop sounding like one.

The 144,000 before God at the end.

They didn't stop being Israel. They were "of Israel" i.e. unbelieving Israel, as contrasted to "all Israel", i.e. believing Israel. Two Israels. Romans 9 6 Not as though the word of God hath taken none effect. For they are not all Israel, which are of Israel: 7 Neither, because they are the...

The Orthodox Preterist versus the Heretical Dispensationalist

Walter Martin wrote "The Kingdom of the Cults", exposing those claiming to be "the only ones true to God's Word". Such as you're claiming. He was a Christian. So am I. He wasn't a Roman. Neither am I.

    70 AD revisited

The only individual identified as a prince in the passage is Messiah. His people were both the Romans and Jews, who both were His agents in accomplishing His purposes of judgment and destruction upon the apostate nation of Israel.

The Orthodox Preterist versus the Heretical Dispensationalist

You declaring yourself "the only one true to God's Word" is a cult.
  13. C

The Orthodox Preterist versus the Heretical Dispensationalist

I didn't use the word "seems". You did: "Seems I am the only one true to God's Word." Only a cultist would make such a claim. Proverbs 14:12 applies to you.
  14. C

The 144,000 before God at the end.

Right. They were "of Israel", i.e. the "second Israel". Thanks for your confirmation.
  15. C

The 144,000 before God at the end.

Those "of Israel" who were physically alive when Paul wrote, were not physically in sheol. Commendations on recognizing them as the "second Israel". I thought you didn't believe in "two Israels." My mistake. :D
  16. C

The 144,000 before God at the end.

You disbelieve two Israels ("all Israel" and "of Israel") in Romans 9:6. You are a disbeliever. Or can you simply not count to 2?
  17. C

The Orthodox Preterist versus the Heretical Dispensationalist

No cult ever said it better. Proverbs 14:12 NASB There is a way which seems right to a person, But its end is the way of death.

    Who Really Are The 144,000?

You err. Nowhere does Scripture say they were Jews. The 144,000 in Revelation 7 were from the 12 tribes of Israel. Israel throughout its history was comprised of both Jews and Gentiles. (Genesis 17:12; Exodus 12:48-49; Leviticus 19:34; Leviticus 24:22) God's selection criteria were not racist...

The 144,000 before God at the end.

    Yes, you disbelieve God's Word.
