Yes, it would be much worse without the discipline you prescribe. Thanks.

Oh Dear! I forgot to make sure our insurance payments would go through on their due date. Silly thing is I got the invoices earlier in the month and thought, "I will set that up so I don't forget", but that's as far as it went. Fortunately a quick phone call to our insurance company sorted the...

I will speak of someone who admires Paul's restraint in boasting of such a person, but not of himself even though he is the person. Clever Paul.

The time is near, and getting nearer every day, but relative to vast eternity. Rev 1:1-3 The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave Him to show His servants—things which must shortly take place. And He sent and signified it by His angel to His servant John, (2) who bore witness to the...

Well it's your call whether you believe it is permissible for Paul to write about himself in the third person to avoid the perception he is boasting. What do you make of John writing these verses?: Joh 13:23 Now there was leaning on Jesus' bosom one of His disciples, whom Jesus loved. Joh...

Yes, this is a much loved trio of chapters for me, 10, 11, 12 of 2 Corinthians. Paul turns the argument that he is "walking in the flesh" on its head by showing what folly it would be to boast of the great things that attend his ministry, and in doing so provides a summary of those things...

I'd rather live in New Zealand with responsible government than La-La-Land with no law and order.

I was referring to plagues which decimate populations regardless of their ideologies. In preCovid NZ the death toll from influenza averaged about 600 per year. This dropped to zero as a consequence of Covid lockdown, isolation, sanitation, and mask strategies.

Damn The Inquisition.

How can you prove this?

Plagues don't have any political allegiances.
