    What Does 'Surely Die' Mean?

"Surely" and "die" is actually a repeat of the same word. As such, in the simplest of terms, if God repeats himself, I take that to mean 'you will "totally" die.' In other words, in every way.

WARNING: Many Who Now Speak SPEAK AGAINST THE HOLY SPIRIT.

True...but I would say that God has as much as allowed those infractions for a purpose ("for good"). That having revealed almost everything at the time of Christ, that we should all be held off the knowledge of "all truth" "until the times of the gentiles are fulfilled. " What I have been...

WARNING: Many Who Now Speak SPEAK AGAINST THE HOLY SPIRIT.

@Behold @MatthewG I like a lot of what you both have just posted, both are good and important. I suppose this thread is to bring attention to both. Both indeed are useful and appreciated. The greatest thing I see falling short is what also happened with Israel, killing the prophets and...

WARNING: Many Who Now Speak SPEAK AGAINST THE HOLY SPIRIT.

A false witness is "against" either way, so yes. But then again--God knows.

    Bible 'Contradictions'?

And as if that weren't enough...still other passages are given more than once down through the ages, sometimes in a completely different context all together. A good example is the Psalms of David where his own struggles and suffering (in his own context) align to become prophetic utterances...

Do you really believe modern Israelis are direct descendants of those "lost" northern tribes scattered by Assyria 2,700 years ago?

Haha...God speaks through me, you deny it even when quoted, and then you point the finger at little old me. Terrific!

My Little Creed From the Meshiah Himself

"Mere" (image) is appropriate because men created in the image of God are far less than God by comparison. But if fully understood, created beings and this whole world, in the creation process, is a terrible departure from the greater heavenly realm of God, where darkness is also purposely...

My Little Creed From the Meshiah Himself

Such are the words of many men also "created in the image of God" as Christ also was. Which they do because they read and interpret His word according to the understanding of men immersed in the ways of this world, knowing little else. Even so, even though you have not considered the words...

Do you really believe modern Israelis are direct descendants of those "lost" northern tribes scattered by Assyria 2,700 years ago?

I quoted what you denied that Jesus said regarding Israel. Now you deny that I gave scripture. Well, you double denying just reveals you and confirms the truth of what I posted.

Do you really believe modern Israelis are direct descendants of those "lost" northern tribes scattered by Assyria 2,700 years ago?

That's great but if you deny the things Jesus said regarding the times when He would do what He said, saying about the house of Israel that "It is finished", then you are still well off the mark.

Difficult questions on sin and consequences and being covered by God/Christ!

This indeed is a confusing matter and topic. It is understandable that you question it. First, understand that on the table before God, is every sin, including murder. As such, yes, it would seem that those having only very minor violations against them are thrown in even with the worst of...

Do you really believe modern Israelis are direct descendants of those "lost" northern tribes scattered by Assyria 2,700 years ago?

I do not "believe" but know His mission. But first, you did not answer my question (which I asked in an attempt to state and consider the matter in a more simple and honest manner).

Do you really believe modern Israelis are direct descendants of those "lost" northern tribes scattered by Assyria 2,700 years ago?

You deny what is written--that Jesus came "but for the house of Israel" and when He had finished He said "It is finished?"

Do you really believe modern Israelis are direct descendants of those "lost" northern tribes scattered by Assyria 2,700 years ago?

One would certainly think so, and so that has become the biggest part of the problem. But that just refers to the bloodline--which is not the issue. From that natural and seemingly logical thinking, however, is what prompted Christ to say, "Wherever the carcass is (wherever the bloodline is) the...

The role of Elders in the church

Pastors are Pastors and Teachers are Teachers, while Elders are Elders, each having their own purpose. Elders lead and rule by biblical guidance, that sound doctrine should go forth among the whole congregation--including the Pastor, and unto the least among those who gather, whether a king or...

Do you really believe modern Israelis are direct descendants of those "lost" northern tribes scattered by Assyria 2,700 years ago?

No, that is correct, the core of the modern state of Israel is not a remnant of the ancient state, although it is hard to say if they share a common bloodline--which no longer makes anyone biblically Israelian. With the coming of Christ, He was The Last of the house of Israel, and The First of...
