As with the other numerical representations in the disclosure Jesus gave John to write down, there is symbolism that speaks to the meaningful purpose of the 144,000 undefiled followers of the Lamb. (10 x 10 x 10)(12 x 12) Ten cubed x Twelve squared = 144,000 Combined Strength of Quantum...

There is a reason the Bible is called The Word of God. 2Co 2:17 For we are not, as so many, peddling the word of God; but as of sincerity, but as from God, we speak in the sight of God in Christ. 2Co 4:1-6 Therefore, since we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we do not lose...

We painted our house orange and got criticised. The paint we used was actually called "Orange Critic". I never get tired of telling critics what the paint is called. Shuts them up promptly.

There is a lot of intolerance and judgmentalism about people who are judgmental and intolerant. Next there will be complaints about people complaining.

There are some minor transcriptional errors that have no bearing on historicity, authenticity and inspiration. The KJV has Ahaziah (aka Jehoahaz) the son of Jehoram as 42 when he began to reign immediately after his 40 year old father died. Other versions correct this error to Ahaziah being 22...

God is not willing that any should perish, so while provision has been made for all to be saved, because of their stubborn refusal to accept their need to be saved and their opposition to Christ, not all will be saved. From my notes: God gives sufficient grace to enable sinners to respond...

Paul was of course referring to the much studied and proclaimed OT Scripture which had long been in existence, which Timothy had been raised with. But we should also be aware of the "three as endorsement" Peter gives of Paul's writings. It is not that Paul claimed to be writing Scripture, but...

Good post. Made me think and reflect. Words of comfort, correction, or chastisement for His Chosen People, but not words of condemnation.

The Recovery Bible, although having dubious interpretations in parts, does correctly translate with the literal Greek word allotment in addressing those of like precious faith in 2 Peter 1:1 . A comparison with his opening address in his earlier letter is along similar lines, namely to those...

Seems to harmonise. Could further "devin developments" be pending? Of course The Bible is all over this stuff. Unified field theory - Wikipedia All four of the known fundamental forces are mediated by fields, which in the Standard Model of particle physics result from exchange of gauge...

No significant changes in our orbit to date. Gravity holding. Rotation stable.

You will be presenting a paper on your findings then . . .?

Opposition and antipathy towards Paul is inherent to his ministry . . . such opposition is inherent to God's People as a whole. 2Ti 1:15 This you know, that all those in Asia have turned away from me, among whom are Phygellus and Hermogenes.

Wouldn't dream of such "disproving", or "disapproving", but "discerning" the real from the counterfeit . . . you better believe it!

This event should be warning enough not to lie to the Holy Spirit and test Him. Act 5:3-4 But Peter said, "Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and keep back part of the price of the land for yourself? (4) While it remained, was it not your own? And after it was...

The context of David H's verse from Galations does allow for blanket application, given that since Paul wrote it false brethren have continued to operate in ekklesias. Years ago I did extensive research into the Azusa Street Revival and found well documented accounts from those present of...

No black hole behind the sun. Remember Earth completes an orbit approx every 365 days so the signs of this would be detected. You might be aware of the Sc-fi myth that proposes a Counter-Earth which exactly matches our planet's plane and speed of orbit so that it always stays hidden behind the...
