I agree with you in principle. But where there is no level playing field...it becomes a fools paradise. There is a time and place for everything. I mainly avoid the silliness. But one must answer sometimes to expose what's going on. I have to call out for some honesty. Why? To bring attention to...

Thank you Amadeus! :) Your kind words are a balm at such a place and time. Peace to you! <><

Totally agree! Where have you been? ;) So glad you are on he thread. :) Peace to you <><

    Spiritual Warfare

What kind of people seek to diminish or destroy the higher walk that is IN Christ? These people will seek to overturn the bible to have Paul speaking to dead people about dead people and wanting to be a dead person himself. Either that or they would have to admit that there is a kingdom of God...

Who says there aren't any free thinking people on the forum anymore? Happy for your contribution. Those who want to be deceived can indulge in twisting the meaning of scripture. It's almost a sport now. But one wonders if the poster knows he is wrong or is just that muddled?

    Spiritual Warfare

I feel the chill of an ill wind in the air. But alas I stand on my rock Jesus Christ in face of all adversity and corruption. And it just so happens that this thread is about confronting the enemy and his counterfeits.

LOL....can you be honest for a minute? The author says...BUT YOU. He is not talking to dead people...as maybe some here seem to think you should do? 2 But ye have come unto Mount Zion and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels, 23 to...

    Spiritual Warfare

I'm neither validating or invalidating...this is a discussion forum where we remain in the sphere of ideas. Maybe your name isn't really hepzibah? ;) Don't take yourself so seriously. :) Maybe you didn't read my post. Paul was not in the habit of exhorting dead people. Read it again.

But ye have come unto Mount Zion and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels, 23 to the general assembly and church of the firstborn, who are written in Heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect...

If that was the case then speaking to those who are already perfected...he would be speaking to dead corpses. " Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded: and if in any thing ye be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you Phil. 3:15 In your view Paul wants dead...

    Spiritual Warfare

Exactly, that's a good measuring stick. If there is no hope of attaining Christ in this life, then all we are left with is a people who do NOTHING in regard to seeking God's face as they wait to die. Satan doesn't want live saints. No. The high calling was and is to WIN CHRIST. To apprehend...

    Spiritual Warfare

In the lower walk we struggle against sin...by an effort of the will. And we can do well by learning self-control...building up our defenses against sin. I'm not against this except one will NEVER conquer sin in this way. Instead God has made a provision in Christ whereby the battle is the...

    Spiritual Warfare

And I'm sure the disagreement extends farther beyond the two of you. ;) You are misunderstanding Pauls' words...a common thing to do. The early church fathers saw themselves as athletes in a race. 12 Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect (at this time in...

    Spiritual Warfare

Spiritualizing away the things of God and being spiritual in Christ are not compatible. One is fighting against the other for supremacy in the church. The flesh wars against the Spirit and the Spirit against the flesh. The flesh puts on a religious certainty to combat faith. And that which is...

    Spiritual Warfare

They say that the first casualty of war is the truth. Where it comes to warfare in the Spirit, are we involving ourselves as part of the solution, or part of the problem? Do we know ourselves? Do we know the nature of the warfare? Join me in this episode as the battle lines are clearly delineated.

    The social gospel?

You didn't read my post or you have not been given the ability to read what I wrote. If you had you could read it and not ask a silly question like that. Is there anybody that can read my post and answer her question? Any at all?

    The social gospel?

Are you able to read what I posted? I put in colours. Can you see the colours? Or are you going to fluff it away?
  18. Episkopos

    The social gospel?

While that is true you are ignoring what God said...He said ON THAT DAY....instantly. That's what is important to understand for a spiritual believer. A carnal believer only looks at the physical aspect because he/she doesn't care at all about holiness.

    The social gospel?

Now, I have explained the way of truth in so many ways...but the comprehension is very slow or non-existent. I will add one more post that explains the gospel...I just need one verse to do it. Now, maybe half of the readers won't be able to read my post...lest they read with their eyes and...

    The social gospel?

Religious people don't try to understand the bible..no, they already know what they want it to mean. So they cobble together a fable that leaves out more than half of the scriptures...and rail at anyone who mentions that small fact. :woot:
