    The social gospel?

What made you send this? I looked at it. I'm only guessing but you seem concerned that my beliefs are legalistic. This commentary is emphasizing that salvation is a free gift. I believe that. I don't believe we had to do anything but believe to recieve salvation. And I believe we are seated in...

    Deconstruction Part 2: Into Apostolicity

Loved the video. I felt encouraged. You said, "You can forsake the flesh long before it's taken from you." toward the end. Do you mean walking in the Spirit or sowing to the Spirit? This past three years, my husband and I have gone through a tough calling and suffered. But we know it means...

Reader Poll - Where did the Bible come from?

Hi! Good to see ya! Dollar Tree Bibles are pretty useful too

    The social gospel?

I like this. I feel like balance is missing too. We need faith and works, not just faith alone. I don't agree with Catholic doctrine, but they do a lot of good for their communities. They pay people's light bills. I'd keep their sense of charity but take a different approach to how church is done.

    The social gospel?

Have never used being a staff member to do anything around here. I speak the way I want and just happened to get a badge. I still plan on speaking as I wish, conscience allowing. I appreciate the honor but I'm not so in love with the badge that I'd avoid saying something I think is important.

    The social gospel?

Just saying Im not easily convinced and would rather talk about social gospel op things than cessationism. The amount of effort to convince me is not worth it. Not trying to move you either. Believe what you will. But I'm not moving myself.

    The social gospel?

I Appreciate the warning but I don't believe all modern healing is false and I don't believe those who believe in healing are not having enough faith that the cross is sufficient. This topic is one of the ones Im least likely to be moved on. Fair warning. I hope we can stay on topic

The great commission as well as further signs, miracles, and wonders. (I believe they still happen today)

    The social gospel?

If Im being honest, the Christian circles Im used to are so into "faith alone" and "its not about your performance" and avoiding "works based salvation" that I make sure to avoid saying anything of practical good I plan to do just to avoid a lecture. They will lecture me about the above and wet...

    The social gospel?

Jesus' ministry on the earth lasted three years if I'm not mistaken. He did quite a lot But He left us the Holy Spirit so we can be His hands and feet and reach people throughout the whole world. And I still believe signs, miracles, and wonders can be done in faith today. We can do the great...

    The social gospel?

In my experience with a lot of churches and Christian culture, we think Jesus did so well on earth that it's arrogant to think we can behave like Him or even follow His commands. But the Lord said we would do greater things. John 14:12 King James Version 12 Verily, verily, I say unto you...

    The social gospel?

I agree. 1 John 2:6 6 He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked. We ought to love others not just in words but in practical help for our brothers and sisters in Christ as well as our neighbors. That's what it means to love the way Jesus taught.

Strength and Honor: Triumphing over Feminism

Priorities are the ultimate life hack! For married women, I believe there's a biblical order: 1. God 2. Husband 3. Children (They may have urgent needs but they will likely grow up and leave, unlike the husband. 4.Home Management (Titus 2:3-5) 5.Money/Outside Ministry/Extended Family/Friends...

    Home Makers

Minimalism is amazing. Although it gets threatened when grandparents want to spoil your baby! lol I used to have tons of clothes. Now all my nicer clothes have to fit on 50 velvet hangers. And that is plenty for me!

Sometimes when our loved ones are being the most difficult---thats when they need our patience and kindness the most.
