They will reign with Him a thousand years and making an unknown Greek out of the English New Testament

Doesn’t being literally beheaded also cause a problem for Premil? There would be no need to traumatize anyone, in the future an option could easily be given to believers where they could go into a clinic, get anesthetized, and painlessly get their head chopped off. Wouldn’t this be something...

They will reign with Him a thousand years and making an unknown Greek out of the English New Testament

So then if Ezekiel’s temple isn’t in the millennium and it doesn’t physically exist today then there’s two options. 1) it’s only meant figuratively, or 2) it gets built then destroyed prior to the millennium.

They will reign with Him a thousand years and making an unknown Greek out of the English New Testament

Isaiah 65:20 There shall be no more thence an infant of days, nor an old man that hath not filled his days: for the child shall die an hundred years old; but the sinner being an hundred years old shall be accursed. Ezekiel 44:22 Neither shall they take for their wives a widow, nor her that is...

They will reign with Him a thousand years and making an unknown Greek out of the English New Testament

So if a believer dies during the millennium they aren’t resurrected? Or would they take part in the second resurrection?

They will reign with Him a thousand years and making an unknown Greek out of the English New Testament

So then the actual first general resurrection of a group of believers is not the first resurrection because the first resurrection only pertains to a different group. What happens with the seven trumpets? I could argue that they happen to different groups also, so the last trumpet could happen...

They will reign with Him a thousand years and making an unknown Greek out of the English New Testament

Hey rwb, there was a bodily resurrection in Matthew 27:52-53 where many of the bodies of the saints arose. The first resurrection was Christ and those in Matthew 27:52-53 came out after His resurrection. No matter how we look the first resurrection, it happened long ago. I guess those who see a...

    How long O Lord

Thanks for the link, I read your article. I used to think the two witnesses were the church as the Amil do but now I think the two witnesses are the law and the prophets, with JtB being some kind of type that represents them. There are too many differences between the two witnesses and JtB to...

    How long O Lord

I don’t think John the Baptist questioning if Jesus was the one was necessary a sin either but I think it points to something more than just doubt, I think it answers the question of what being overcome means. Many Amil see the two witnesses in Revelation 11 as the church, I think there are...

    How long O Lord

Most people I’ve asked about how the beast overcomes the saints give me a physical death answer. You’re the first person that has given me this kind of answer. Would you consider this overcoming being spiritual in nature? I’ve been thinking that the overcoming is similar to John the Baptist...

    How long O Lord

God didn’t say specifically. Sometimes God says yes, sometimes no, and sometimes wait. If you think the answer was in error I don’t know what else I can say to convince you otherwise. If you think at some point God is going to tell you that the second coming will happen at some exact day and...

    How long O Lord

You’re making some good points here, I also see the conflicts with having the beast prior to the millennium being Satan and this starting with the fall of man.

    How long O Lord

So how is Satan overcoming the saints? Before the cross they went to Sheol, so I can see how that could be considered as being overcome but now to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. I would think a believer would count it as an honor to give up their life as a testimony to...

    How long O Lord

I don’t disagree with that, in Revelation 13:7 the beast is given to make war with the saints and overcome them. Do you think this started when the fall of mankind occurred at the garden of Eden?

    How long O Lord

I don’t see priest being listed as one of the roles in the New Testament church in the epistles or the book of Acts. Why do you think we are going to need them in a future millennium? It seems to me, unless you’re catholic, that there is only one priest and that is Christ.

    How long O Lord

They are martyred during their lifetime but they also didn’t worship the beast or his image during their lifetime. Is the beast or his image currently being worshipped by some people?

    How long O Lord

Here’s the answer … and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellowservants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled.

    How long O Lord

I agree, if God promised something we can consider it as if it already happened, that’s how absolutely sure we are of God’s word. That’s why in the original post I wonder why anyone needs to ask a question that God has already answered. I’m no longer an Amil but I used to see it as you do...

    How long O Lord

So then someone could say that since the Lamb was slain from the foundation of the world, and since Him being slain is what binds Satan, then Satan was bound from the foundation of the world, at least in some way I suppose. Some people will use Revelation 17:8 to show the distinction between...

    How long O Lord

You’re saying Revelation 4:8 takes place prior to creation? If so what about the statement in Revelation 4:8 “which was, and is, and is to come”? A similar statement is made in Revelation 17:8 about the beast with seven heads “was, is not, and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit” and “was...

    How long O Lord

I agree with linking Ezekiel 1:10 and Revelation 4:7, but if they are symbolic of evil power why would they be giving glory, honor, and thanks to God in Revelation 4:9?
