    The Chosen

The four gospels are a rather scant record of Jesus 3.5 yr ministry....John 21:25 confirms this. Subsequently any film made on this matter will inevitably have filler to make it flow. Picking apart the filler because it is not 'purist' defeats its purpose.

"Is excessive interpretation the root cause of differences in understanding and doctrinal divisions in the Bible?"

Or was it that they centralised when God told them to inhabit the whole earth? Was it also they didn't believe there wouldn't be another global flood so they intended to build higher than the flood waters?

    The Chosen

A small digression re 'mediator'. Who was it that Jesus mediated for? It is most often taken for granted that Jesus mediation was about appeasing an angry God however, I would say that Jesus was mediating God to us. Yes, we were the ones angry with God. Jesus came to show us that God's affection...

Do you have a depiction of Jesus in film which you are drawn to?.....and if you are, why?

    The Chosen

Anyone with insight recognises this. Many of the stories/ parables Jesus told were fictional. They weren't intended as a history lesson. They were intended to convey certain true principles. The story circulating in our culture of 'The Emperors New Clothes' is a fictional story yet embedded in...

"Is excessive interpretation the root cause of differences in understanding and doctrinal divisions in the Bible?"

"Is excessive interpretation the root cause of differences in understanding and doctrinal divisions in the Bible?" Jesus is the full revelation of God. We can ask, 'why did God need to be revealed'?......and why? and of course, revealed to who? Not seeing (understanding, comprehending) Jesus...

Speak to the value of following Jesus

Speak to the value of following Jesus God is vindicated. All the false charges brought for millennia are nullified. The dragon has been defeated though his tail still thrashes. The inhabitants of unnumbered Worlds and angelic beings rejoice and we in our frail frames and little faith on our...

    The Chosen

Let's bring it down to tin tacks. What do you perceive the 'mission' of Jesus to ultimately be? I don't mean the side benefits we derive from it, I mean it's ultimate purpose?

Those not open to God's Spirit will inevitable misunderstand, malign and attempt to pressure folk into their narrow view.

I need spiritual peace significantly and indefinitely

Our great affliction is the doubt that we are loved. We want some sort of an instant emotional fix while we maintain our doubt. Security is seeing that which is not seen with our physical eyes. I too suffer from these afflictions but then remember, 'be my feelings what they will, Jesus is my...

Does God love those He burns in Hell "Forever and Ever"?

You twist the narrative to suit your delusion Jack. It also has consequences!

Does God love those He burns in Hell "Forever and Ever"?

and so you have embraced and are defending the lie the Serpent told Eve. ie, 'you will not surely die'

Does God love those He burns in Hell "Forever and Ever"?

'God's wrath' (punishment) is laid out clearly in Romans 1:18-32. Verse 24 tells us 'God gave them over'. In other words he no longer stood in the way of consequences of their choices. Punishment is consequential not an arbitrary imposition. In Eden God spoke of consequences, 'you will surely...

    What are Beasts in Prophecy

Misrepresentation, defensiveness and condescension is never the path to enlightenment even when, nay, particularly when the truth of a matter is laid out.
