How many former Catholics are here?

@BreadOfLife Do you have any non-Catholic friends? If not, may I ask what part of the country you live in? I was raised on the East Coast but reside in California. I do notice differences between Catholics on each coast.

How many former Catholics are here?

No, I was thinking of how Catholics pray the rosary and do penance after a priest tells them to do that. Also prayers to saints. Things like that. As a born again Christian, if I would do something wrong, the Holy Spirit in my heart convicts me of that. Since I love being in fellowship...

The happy thread was dead. Long live the happy thread!

The Amish are still riding around with horses and buggies. My cousin in Ohio says they ride right by his home. I saw an Amish family while we were visiting the zoo in Pittsburgh, PA. I never knew back then (1950s and 1960s as I was a child) that there were Amish towns about an hour North of...

How many former Catholics are here?

That is how I am, too. I've had a couple of Catholic friends, even a Sister who lived in my building. She had a pro-life volunteer group. I also love Muslims but hate their ideology which has bound them terribly. Pretty bad when a religion threatens the followers with death or disownment...

How many former Catholics are here?

@BreadOfLife And what's interesting is that Snowbound is pro-Catholic. He somehow misconstrued your post and thought you were anti-Catholic! He sure had a mouth worse than a sailor.

    The happy thread

Yes I had one. Of course it was left behind in Pennsylvania when I came to California in 1967. I think my aunt Helen inherited my doll collection which I left behind. I was telling her years ago that I saw the original Barbie doll was worth $7,000. I think she might have gotten rid of my...

How many former Catholics are here?

That's funny... Jesus, the disciples and apostles never did anything which the Catholic Church teaches it's members to do. The above is excellent. I hope any considering the Catholic Church will take the time to read it. @ArkangeMikail 14But you must continue in the things which you have...

Why this Christmas is more important than ever

I find it interesting that many people you don't expect to talk about Jesus are now doing so. I'm coming across some Jewish YouTubers doing this too.

I think I posted this before but it's still funny. It's brief.

    Netanyahu's Christmas message to Christians

I watched a very interesting video by Tal Oran about Christmas Eve celebrations in the Old City of Jerusalem. Tal is Jewish but knows Messianic Jews. He visited a Messianic church/synagogue to hear Christmas carols. Afterwards they strolled around to see the decorations and lights. They...
