edited: If you were like Jonah and....... would you be going to Heaven or Hell?

I know many Christians find this alarming and downright dismiss it without enquiry. They assume that what they understand is unquestionably right. The same process of dismissal even vilification has occurred in medicine, in science ...and in the life of Jesus.

Does God bring calamity? It appears the OT folk thought so...and wrote so, but does that make it so? The storm on the sea which Jesus slept through before being awakened by his friends is another in question. I think we need to be definitive about this and know why otherwise the dot joining...

    for me

All I see MD, when you are asked about statements you make, is excuses. You seem to assume I have some sort of idea as to what your troubles are and you draw conclusions based on your assumptions. I see it as an avoidance tactic.....and for my part at least, it is very difficult to believe you...

    for me

It appears you have many troubles MD. It also appears you desire magic fixes for them yet you make no effort to give any understanding to the readers here when they ask questions.

What does it mean to be Under the Law?

Hmmmm, I s'pose if torturing folk forever in fire is not deemed sin, perhaps you are content with 'do as I say, not do as I do'

What does it mean to be Under the Law?

Further to post # 3... The other view is that you a worthless piece of sh.t but you will be forgiven if you believe in Jesus. The first view glorifies God because he never stops loving, the second view glorifies yourself by putting the onus on your believing, implying that God's glory and...

Looking at the Statement of Faith

Firstly, I wasn't asking you what other people would do, I was asking you. Secondly, you said you would take it. Recognising its value, would you need to be told to take it?

If someone handed you (gave) a pound of pure gold, would you take it?

Looking at the Statement of Faith

Once ignorance is recognised, wisdom does not argue with it. Proverbs 26:4-5 – Answer not a fool according to his folly, lest you be like him yourself. Answer a fool according to his folly, lest he be wise in his own eyes. The self-confident fool thinks too highly of himself and his opinions...
