In a nutshell this is the gospel and how the gospel works and why His yoke is easy, and His burden is light. He does it all! He is even the One who draws us to Himself. We just must open our hearts and become aware. Romans 1:16 16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the...

Matthew 25: 31 “When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the holy angels with Him, then He will sit on the throne of His glory. Matthew 24:37 Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on...

Don't forget this passage where Jesus forgave sins. Mark 2:1-12 And again He entered Capernaum after some days, and it was heard that He was in the house. 2 Immediately many gathered together, so that there was no longer room to receive them, not even near the door. And He preached the word...

Matthew, I'm not saying he hadn't been a thief ever. We were all sinners before Christ aren't we? Even if we are saved for eternity doesn't mean the laws of the land are that forgiving...to not have to face the cross.

Yes, being born from above is receiving the Holy Spirit from above. Romans 8:9 calls it the Spirit of Christ, and THAT is the New Covenant as I said.

Thank you very much for correcting my spelling. I know I need that. Why do you think Judas could possibly be Spirit-filled when the Day of Pentecost had not come yet? Nor was he still alive after Jesus arose and blew His Spirit into the living apostles in John 20 before the Day of Pentecost...

Re: Thomas You're kidding, right?

Yes, you can get the Holy Spirit by pure repentance. But the Spirit causes us to be obedient in all things, which would include baptism.

But you can know by his FRUIT.

Born again is of the New Covenant. Jesus died during the Old Covenant so your question is mute.

You must not study the scriptures much. You sound like you have apathy towards obedience, a sure sign you've listened to doctrines of demons. Sort of a take it or leave it attitude. Mark 16:16-18 16 He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned...

What if he was a thief, and them came across Jesus and believed, and was baptized before going to jail? Doesn't that baptism count? You need to look at that thief's FRUIT. He had more faith than all the apostles put together, even asking a dying man to remember him when he comes into His...

You are mocking my "yelling." That's rude. Just trying to get people to think and not let themselves be spoon fed garbage doctrine. And they ARE from demons. You can tell by what he said that he had more faith than all the apostles put together. That's a Christian, and Christians get baptized...

Do you know the book and chapter at least?

..

That wasn't kind. Can't you recognize a doctrine of demons when you hear one? It's so easy to see as cast aside, unless you like them better than obedience. They will always produce defeat or disobedience or apathy towards the words of Jesus. In this case apathy towards obeying the command to be...

Okay, you lost me here. What parable are you talking about? I only mentioned the talents.

We can know who is a Christian by their fruit. Matthew 7. Christians are baptized. And his fruit was mature fruit, thus he's been a Christian for some time before they took him to jail.

I wrote this post because of the doctrine of demons emphatically claiming that the thief on the cross was not baptized, creating an apathetic approach to water baptism. That apathy is what makes it a doctrine of demons. First of all, baptism is not mentioned at all so the Word cannot be the...

So then you do not believe he was ever baptized in water before going to the cross?
