The Atonement: What did it REALLY Accomplish?

rightglory Thats what I mean, because Christs death secured and applies everything to save and convert them He died for. By His death He brings them He died for to God in a conversion experience 1 Pet 3:18 For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might...

What does it mean "there is no condemnation in Christ Jesus".....

Nobody in Christ and for whom Christ died[His elect] is condemned, no matter how much they sin, God doesnt impute their sins to them. Rom 4:7-8 7 Saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered. 8 Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin. Rom...

Did Christ's Death succeed its purpose ? Titus 2:14 14 Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works. If Christ by His Death or His Offering of Himself, if by it each Person, each one He died for does not...

What does it mean "there is no condemnation in Christ Jesus".....

Thats not the issue here. The issue is people who were chosen in Christ before the foundation, are in Him and so not condemned. When they are born into the world as sinners, they are not condemned by God like other sinners who are not chosen in Christ before the foundation.

What does it mean "there is no condemnation in Christ Jesus".....

Thats in time. Those who were in Christ before the foundation is before time. Now when they are converted in time, they are given faith, then they walk after the Spirit. So that just describes their walk in time, but they were in Christ before time, and that's where their non condemnation in...

    Is believing/faith a work ?

Im not worried about what you say, I have made the point, it stands, regardless if you or anyone else thinks so or not. You promote salvation by works if you condition it on anything you do, if its nothing but blinking your eye !

    Is believing/faith a work ?

Like I said, read the thread, I have made my point with scripture. If you condition salvation on anything you do, its works and a repudiation of Grace Salvation !

    Is believing/faith a work ?

What I am saying needs to be repeated, the error of conditioning salvation on mans action is repeated.
  14. B

What does it mean "there is no condemnation in Christ Jesus".....

Election is about an remnant, Christ seed is the Seed of Abraham, thats who He represented, not all mankind. You made a erroneous statement, all people are not in Christ, nowhere close does the scripture say or imply that. Christ took on the flesh of a particular people, a seed Heb 2:16-17 16...

    Is believing/faith a work ?

I have explained already why conditioning salvation on anything you do is works. I don't need to be explaining all the verses you run and get and Im not.
  17. B

    Is believing/faith a work ?

Again if you condition any part of salvation on what you do, its a works merit salvation and totally repudiates grace.
  18. B

    Is believing/faith a work ?

It doesn't matter what scripture you run and get, if you condition salvation on anything you do, its works salvation condemned by the Blood of Christ !
