Perhaps this 'one-liner' contains the answer as to who is or who is not following God as led by the Holy Spirit: 1th 5:19 Quench not the Spirit. How many who claim to have the indwelling Spirit of God will also admit that they sometimes quench the Spirit?

Sorry not to have done this before. I read the book about two years ago and intended to comment but I got sidetracked. I pulled it out of my library today and skimmed through many of the details of Part II before I added a review.

Praying for all of those feeling a loss from this.

Your questions are spot on, sister. How many are only here [in churches and such] because they want the promises; they want the blessings. Without those might too many simply be saying forget God; forget Jesus... as they plunge themselves into whatever the world of men has to offer?

Wow, a whole lot of responding for me to respond to... Yes, but I did say, "should". What people should do and what they actually do very often are not the same. When we have finished our course, has not our end been decided? There is then no more time to decide how we are going finish...

Following such forms or formulas may help a person who needs help in how to spend private time with God... but I would be careful about advising a young person in Christ to go that way. I have recently elsewhere posted my own way of talking to God, but I don't press anyone to go that way...

So, in other words, it should only stop when we run out of time. While we have time, let us continue to seek!

No it was not a formula as I believe that you mean it. I was led that Way by the Spirit. Too many people I believe stick to too many things as essentials not allowing God to correct or change them when perhaps they really need changing. I cannot change them nor can any man with his carefully...
