    The snake pit

    Sounds like the Matrix.

    The snake pit

God struck down these two for lying, and he continues to reap the rewards from that example. Same as those of Israel who died in the wilderness.

    The snake pit

I was looking for more than a repeat of the question. But actual suggestions. Due to Jesus' resurrection the Girl would end up with the Lord. The man then has the rest of his life to repent. If the man doesn't, God gets the glory for his patience. If the man does, God gets the glory for his...

    The snake pit

If you know better how should God have intervened?

    The snake pit

God's ways are higher than our own. Our ways are concerned with this temporal life. God is more concerned with eternal implications, upon which temporal things can have an impact. No one but God is able to judge when and where to intervene to achieve the best results for his purposes while...

    The snake pit

Even non-believers are used by God to achieve his purposes. While you may give yourself credit for the intervention, she may very well thank God for it. All creatures are God's to use as he pleases, and they usually don't even know they were willing participants. So God did step in, in this...

    In & out

Is that the 11th commandment? What about thou shalt not troll?

    In & out

No correlation was found, and I don't remember anyone else who said similar things to JellyJam.

    Motivated by Spirit/spirit

IMHO it is impossible to be free of spiritual influences. People may still be under the influence of evil spirits even if not displaying the murderous tendencies Saul did. That is something I take from Romans 6:16

NDEs and ADCs: Their Apologetic Value for Christian Witness

You mention seeing Jesus. What did he look like? The disciples saw Jesus after his resurrection. They didn't doubt his identity, but rather Thomas doubted if he was a ghost or physically there. He was physically there, proving to Thomas that he had risen from the dead.

NDEs and ADCs: Their Apologetic Value for Christian Witness

Jesus' resurrected apperances were a special case. As were appearances of Moses and Elijah at the transfiguration. I don't see how they support claims of ADEs, though the other biblical accounts do support it. I have some theories for ADEs. First that some appearance are sanctioned by God and...

Chris & Mike - Whose Side Are You On?

The analogy assumes a dichotomy between law and grace. One being left of the path and the other on the right. I would say the Law is more like a border to the trail. The blind who walk the trail feel along the edge to try and avoid getting lost. But there are those who were given sight and...

NDEs and ADCs: Their Apologetic Value for Christian Witness

Where does Berserk claim to see dead people? None of the ADE posted thus far are his own.

    Dreams

Yes to all of the above. To elaborate: I have had some dreams that are from God and many more I do not believe are from God. Usually if one speaks to me, it is like how a work of art speaks. Direction provided was not in the form of instructions, but of knowledge which prompted me to respond...

    The lord is among us

Not the whole experience, but the part with the angel of death moving at the behest of the Spirit of God. Unless you think the Spirit was personally killing the firstborns at the Passover, I don't.

    The lord is among us

I will not to be dismissive about his vision. I see nothing unusual in it, at least not yet. He noticed that the skull head spirit layed hands on a tall man. Is this supposed to be death? There is a precedent for this in Exodus 12:12. I wonder what were the other people like in the vision?

Warning Signs your Church may be Merging with the Emergent Church

James 1:27 paints a picture of what true religion looks like. So regardless of any excess the practical servile aspects need to be there.
