But that translation is from the perspective of the JW's belief system. As such your post above: - I would suggest, that much of what is taught within JW circles, is not taken from the original Greek texts. Oh well each to his own poison.

Which Bible or should I say which translation bible are you referring too?

When I say that Abraham was not an idol worshipper while he lived in UR, my pastor states that he was and quotes Joshua 24:2 from the ESV to justify his understanding. The ESV states this: - 2 And Joshua said to all the people, “Thus says the LORD, the God of Israel, ‘Long ago, your fathers...

Daniel 8 speaks of the time from the time of the Medes and Persians in Babylon up and until the 2,300 years prophecy of the Little Horn being given periodically armies during this 2,300 year prophecy. Daniel 8 is not associated with Daniel 7:19-27 as the respective time periods no not overlap...

Sir to make this post right, you need to change the word "most" to "all people" such that it reads: - Perhaps you are unaware of God's purpose for the earth, it has not changed sir, all people who are given the gift of eternal life will reside on the earth. Ps 37:29 states it very clearly: -...

You can have a SCAN every day.

You mean like singing dixie?

You are both flapping your chops and showing your respective ignorance. This is what the Interlinear provides: - The common translation of the consequence of eating from the tree of knowledge in Gen 2:17 is: - "but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the...

It is all off point.

But I found that the thread was very difficult to access to even be able to read the posts.

My response to your post was penned as a prayer. However, the Holy Spirit prompted me to respond to your request in the manner that I posted. That you would take responsibility for the renewing of your mind and for putting on the refreshed personhood that God is calling you into. My wife has...

There was no condemnation of you at all, rather an encouragement for you to put your whole trust more in the Lord such that I have no need to pray that God will fulfill your request. When your whole trust is in the lord, then He will help you to become a better person and He will enable you to...

This thread is one of the better threads on this site. How can I give a "Like" to the thread itself.

May you be able to renew your mind and put on the refreshed personhood that God has always wanted you to have. May you take on the responsibility for your refreshment in the Lord, such that God becomes your all and that you are able to follow His leading, rather than God being your puppet to...

After going back and reading some of your earlier posts, I would ask you the same questions. What has this thread got to do with Daniel 9? Simple enough question for you to answer. However, in one of the posts that I read you were suggesting that Daniel 9:25 has to do with the time period...

Wokeism is broader than this. It is the practice of berating a person who does not hold the same values or ideologies as yourself. Within Church circles, the berating of others who do not hold the same "theological" understanding as the Pastor or his church is often told that they are wrong...

Weird? your understanding of the Book of Rev. is way off

In any church, whether it is a big or a small church, and people begin to love the Leader of that Church more than they love God, then that leader is going to fall from God's Grace. King David was beloved by the Israeli nation, such that David lost sight of God's hand on his life and he tipped...

Well, yes, our translations contain numerous errors because of a lack of understanding. Take for instance the Greek root word "Neos," it is often translated as "New" or it has been translated as "Young/er" which is in keeping with its meaning being associated with age which is recent, i.e...

For me it seems as if I only got married yesterday but my golden wedding anniversary will soon pass by with ease. All I can do is get older disgracefully and buy a triumph motor bike so that I can be an old fart being Frequently Away Riding a Triumph. I hope I have not forgotten how to ride or...
