Is it possible to be SCRIPTURALLY CORRECT AND NOT BE SPIRITUALLY CORRECT?

Such is the Law in the hands of men. Even so, you are correct--except when taken up against the truth from God. Which men, even Godly men, often reject.

Is it possible to be SCRIPTURALLY CORRECT AND NOT BE SPIRITUALLY CORRECT?

No, but rather as you are again doing here, you reply with baiting, as if unbelieving and also intent to upset the line of truth as given.

Is it possible to be SCRIPTURALLY CORRECT AND NOT BE SPIRITUALLY CORRECT?

Not irrelevant, but rather that (as I said) there is two completely different messages, one to the local/historic issue during that time, and more importantly the commandment to the Bride of Christ to be silent to allow the Spirit to be heard. Which now applies not only to women in the church...

Is it possible to be SCRIPTURALLY CORRECT AND NOT BE SPIRITUALLY CORRECT?

By your asking, it is obvious YOU ARE JUST TRYING TO MAKE TROUBLE. Do you not know that with the same measure you use, it will be measured to you?

Is it possible to be SCRIPTURALLY CORRECT AND NOT BE SPIRITUALLY CORRECT?

Good, then you will hear again what I have told you already.

Is it possible to be SCRIPTURALLY CORRECT AND NOT BE SPIRITUALLY CORRECT?

I do, but not because I am a woman of the Corinthian church of 2,000 years ago, but because I am of the Bride of Christ for eternity. Therefore, it is not I who has been speaking to you.

Is it possible to be SCRIPTURALLY CORRECT AND NOT BE SPIRITUALLY CORRECT?

If you followed Jesus, then you would also followed Paul, because with and in God they are One. Thus, not to also follow Paul, is to only follow Jesus in part.

Is it possible to be SCRIPTURALLY CORRECT AND NOT BE SPIRITUALLY CORRECT?

Have you not read or heard that without the Spirit (to the natural man) the words of scripture are foolishness (1 Corinthians 2:14)? Stop yielding to and being that foolish man.

Is it possible to be SCRIPTURALLY CORRECT AND NOT BE SPIRITUALLY CORRECT?

If you were hearing what the Spirit has said to the churches or even paying attention and willing, you could be helping to comfort the church with the truth. Instead--it pains me to say, your apparent lack of faith in God to be true to His word, is not edifying.

Does God love those He burns in Hell "Forever and Ever"?

God has set before all "life and death, blessing and cursing" as an act of love to all--equally. Thus, eternal torment is NOT a choice made by God, but by those who hate Him.

Is it possible to be SCRIPTURALLY CORRECT AND NOT BE SPIRITUALLY CORRECT?

What you "think" is according to your own understanding, for to speak against Paul, is to speak against Him who sent him.

Is it possible to be SCRIPTURALLY CORRECT AND NOT BE SPIRITUALLY CORRECT?

You believe what you want. As for me, I believe what Paul wrote by the Spirit in him for the Corinthian church, and also what the Spirit said to "all" churches.

Is it possible to be SCRIPTURALLY CORRECT AND NOT BE SPIRITUALLY CORRECT?

Again, you are missing the point. God has often allowed his people to be attacked by his own judgment. But that has nothing to do with good people fighting against evil. In fact, the one historic event was for two completely different purposes: 1) as reprimand against the Jews; and 2) that the...

Is it possible to be SCRIPTURALLY CORRECT AND NOT BE SPIRITUALLY CORRECT?

You are missing the point. The passage addresses 2 different issues: Paul was addressing a local issue of that time of women disturbing church by talking too much. And; God by the Spirit (evident by the greater context of previous passages directed to the church in general) directing the...

Is it possible to be SCRIPTURALLY CORRECT AND NOT BE SPIRITUALLY CORRECT?

Is the "bride" of Christ not depicted as a "woman", and is the greater context not the "church"...which is depicted as a "bride?" Put it together Bob. Or don't. But, "He who has an ear let him hear."

Is it possible to be SCRIPTURALLY CORRECT AND NOT BE SPIRITUALLY CORRECT?

Yes, and that is why we were told to be silent in church, so that the only translation and explanation is by the Spirit.
  17. ScottA

Is it possible to be SCRIPTURALLY CORRECT AND NOT BE SPIRITUALLY CORRECT?

"Face value" is only what is visible, but that which is spirit, as God is spirit, is not.
  18. ScottA

Is it possible to be SCRIPTURALLY CORRECT AND NOT BE SPIRITUALLY CORRECT?

Yes, and yet that would be anit-Christ, for the words of Christ are spirit...as He himself said.

Knowing the Day and the Hour of the Lord's Coming

I have framed for you who is greater among those sent by God, i.e. a prophet or apostle is sent directly, but not an elder or a bishop. Which is to say, I have told you enough about me (why should I give witness of myself--would you have me boast, when my words are not my own?) As for more...
