Most of the people who contribute on this site are from an older generation from the impressions I get from them. As for studying to show oneself approved, that has to do with the scriptures and not man made tracts or booklets (unless your the Author) We have a rule against excessively long...

Welcome!

Satan is refered to as the father of lies, so he must be the origionator of all lies. Evil is a corruption of what God established or in simple terms a lie.

Typically creation is in the context of living beings or physical matter. If we are refering to inventions as creations, they still need materials God created. Then they are not original creations but just a manipulation of what God made. They should be in a different category. Sure Satan can...

Welcome!

You and your wife continue to be in my prayers.

I'm still expecting God to fix this a-fib Helen.

The Lord taught me a lot using an NIV as my first bible. Although I find that the KJV comes to mind easier and is more quotable.

I'm sorry you are still going through this Helen. I hope your heartbeat returns to normal soon. Who wants to suffer a slow death? But we do so for the sake of loved ones. I'm sure God is pleased.

At least we have more time to pray about it. Praying this spot goes away.

Will be praying for you Helen

Since you shared your dream about the bird at the flea market I'll share my dream about the birds at the thrift store. I had a dream a month ago that I had shared with @Hidden In Him, it had many parts. It started in a thrift store, and at the entrance was an ice-cream parlor. My family...

Angels are not made of atmospheric gasses. Which they would need to be if they are literally beings of the air. Air can not manifest bodies to appear before people. So I do believe there is a distinction between spirit and wind. Wind is used because people wouldn't understand the totally...

Wind is used as an anology for spirit because people can't perceive it. 1 Corinthians 2:14 Wind itself is nitrogen, oxygen, water, argon and other trace elements in gaseous state. It is set into motion by inter molecular forces. Wind originates from the density gradient between land, sky, and...

I didn't know the greek word used, but from somewhere in the word I picked up this understanding of being inside Christ. Could have been the analogies between Jesus and Noah's Ark. 1 Peter 3:20. At least spiritually we need to stay with Christ. But while he is in heaven this is only...

We expect Legalism in a synagogue. Goes to show there are some everywhere, even in a charismatic church. Given time any place can get old and musty.

Bye

I figured it meant any work that has eternal value. If the value doesn't last longer than this earth, it will be burned up with the earth. Labors for the Kingdom are the ones that last. Labors for the kingdom would include generosity as well, even though the gift doesn't last forever God will...

And yet you come here accusing the saints. I fully expected you to be a satanist trying to sow discord under the guise of a Christian. These people have their fun then when they've had enough declare that they are giving up on Christianity and leave. I find it more offensive that you are...

Christians are united by the Holy Spirit, and necessarily belief in Jesus Christ for that to be so. There are many things written in the bible that are givens. They will all necessarily love God, but for that to be so they must also love their neighbor. There are many disputable matters, and...
